Chapter 15

Chapter 15:

"So how're you and Andy going?" Kellin asked as he walked alongside me the next morning as I headed to my desk.

"Good; he was gonna swing by in a couple hours 'cause I haven't had the chance to see him for over a week or two now; work's been too busy," I said in response, Kellin nodding.

We came to a halt at my desk.

"Well it's good to see you have someone again," he said as I sat down at my desk and gave a nod. "I know it's probably hard knowing what Johnathon did, but it's good to see you with someone else; Andy seems like he'll do you a bit of good."

I just gave him a bit of a smile and he headed off to his office, leaving me there to get on with my work for the day.

"Hey there beautiful."

I looked up, seeing Andy giving me a smile from where he was standing at the front of my desk. I gave him a smile back and got up, going around my desk and giving him a hug. Andy laughed as he put his arms around me and hugged me back; he seemed to be doing a lot better.

I moved back a bit, seeing him smiling as he looked at me.

"You look so much better since I saw you last," I said with a bit of a smile, Andy just watching me. "How're you doing?"

Andy gave a shrug, letting me go and sitting down on the edge of my desk.

"I'm pretty good I guess," he said. He just gave me a smile. "Been real quiet lately actually; seems like everything's working and that's all thanks to you and Vic."

I gave a smile back as Andy looked me up and down.

"You look great might I add," he said as he settled his gaze on my face again. "I haven't seen you in like, two weeks, but you still look amazing."

I smiled at his compliment and Andy just smiled back. Kellin appeared in the doorway to his office and walked over to us; he had a sense of urgency about him today. He came to a halt as Andy and I both looked to him.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I just thought I should let you know that Vic just called," he said, directing it at me more than Andy. "He said they've got him and are heading back now; he'll be back in less than five."

I gave a nod and exchanged looks with Andy who looked a slight bit confused right now. Kellin headed back to his office and I looked to Andy, needing to explain what was going on but not sure how to word it.

"Did you need me to...go?" Andy asked, clearly unsure if he was allowed to stay here right now.

I shook my head, not really wanting him to leave right now, though I knew there could be a lot of trouble if Johnathon saw Andy here; he knew about what'd happened, and that could easily result with him accusing Andy and getting him locked up.

Before I really had any time to tell him what was going on, Vic and a few other cops appeared, dragging a struggling Johnathon in as well; they were probably heading over to the interrogation room and that was what I was concerned about.

Vic gave me a nod of greeting and came over, standing beside me and giving Andy a nod as well.

"We got 'im," was all Vic had time to say, as Johnathon started raving on.

"I didn't do anything!" he was shouting. He looked over at me and Vic. "Tell them I didn't do anything Juliet! You know I didn't do anything wrong! Make them let me go!"

I just looked at him as I crossed my arms, not defending him at all; I knew it was wrong, but then there'd be the problem of them finding who really did it and Andy would get locked up for it. I saw as Johnathon looked at the three of us, recognition on his face as he saw Andy who was avoiding his gaze as Johnathon was getting dragged through the area.
