Take one look at her family,

The one she grew in.

Eight years ago,

It was a mother,

A father,

A little girl,

Her big brothers,

Their hamster,

And different foster dogs every month.

Fast forward two years,

She is eight years old,

Exposed to life,

Her family...

A mother and father,

Two brothers,

Her dog who she loves most in the world,

And herself.

She dreams she dies,

She dreams she leaves.

She's never been happy,

How could she be?

Her parents fight,

Nearly every night,

Over something stupid.

Her dad,

He tries to fix things,

Make things all better.

They go on amazing trips,

But they just feel normal.

She's moved from the only place she's known,

And now,

The pain of moving has become numb.

Fast forward three years.

Her oldest brother,

She adores him so much.

He is her idol,

Who she wants to be.

Her brother is nearly fifteen,

She is eleven.

He goes to his friends,

And takes some things.

A bottle of bleach,

Alcohol,

Three bottles of pills,

And liquid medicine.

He leaves a note,

To his friend he stays at.

"Go to my room,

Get my faded blanket,

In it is a journal.

Don't read it,

Give it to Vanessa."

Vanessa..

Her name brings tears to my eyes.

She did this.

She cheated on him after saying

She wanted to be with him forever.

He downed the pills with the liquid medicine,

Drank the entire bottle of alcohol,

And drank the bleach.

He lied passed out in the ditch.
