Maihua: Oh my God, Pypher please shut up about your ice cream no-one cares that-

Pypher: What's wrong? What are you staring at?

Maihua's eyes darted to the apartment next door to them.

Pypher: Ah, so you're admiring our new neighbour.

Pypher chuckled.

Maihua: Yeah, look how hot she is.

Pypher: Did you seriously just call our new neighbour hot?

Pypher asked just a bit too loudly.

Kaci: The new and hot neighbour can hear you.

Maihua: Damn, Pypher you talk too loud.

Kaci: Well, guess I'm introducing myself now. Hi guys, I'm Kaci your new neighbour!

Maihua: Hey, I'm Maihua and this is my roommate Pypher.

Pypher: Hello.

Maihua: Um, so welcome to the building, hey we got Chinese if you wanna eat with us..?

Pyper: Are you out of your mind? You're just gonna let a stranger eat with us?

Pypher scowled at Maihua and started heading to their apartment door with her arms crossed.

Maihua: Don't listen to her, you're totally welcome!

Kaci: Great! I'm just gonna freshen up.

Maihua: Great, I'll see you in 5!

~At Maihua's and Pypher's apartment~

Kaci sits in 'Pypher's seat'

Pyper: Oh dear.

Pypher looked at Maihua.

Maihua: What now, Pypher?!?!

Pyper: Your new girlfriend is sat in MY seat.

Pypher spat with bitterness in her voice. Her voice mocking the word 'girlfriend'.

Maihua: She is not my girlfriend, we just met and you can sit somewhere else for now.

Pypher: But- That's my spot.

Kaci: It's fine, I'll move.

Pypher sits down and glares at Kaci.

Maihua: So, what do you do for a living?

Kaci: I moved out here from Nebraska to become an actress, I'm actually going to an acting school.

Maihua: Oh nice! My dream job is to be an actress too.

Kaci: What do you do at the moment?

Maihua: Well actually-

Pypher: She posts cringey videos of her self on the internet!

Maihua: Shut up Pypher, I'm quite famous on TikTok.

Kaci: Omg! I've got that app it's so addictive!

Maihua: Yeah I know right! How many followers have you got?

Kaci: 500K.

Maihua: Sweet! I've got 1.5 mil!

Kaci: Wow that's a lot!

Maihua: Yes well, I love my fans but it's no career.

Maihua chuckled and then looked at Kaci. They met each other's eyes and they both got lost in the gaze. At that moment, Maihua knew that no matter what, she needed to get closer to Kaci.
