The throne was made of skulls. Blood dripped from the handles, the evil queen sitting atop it. Maeve looked at her servants, waving a hand. The sound of the neck-snapping was soul frightening. The darkness grew closer and closer, surrounding Aelin as she suffocated in it. Her breathing became uneasy, her heart beating faster and faster. It felt so hard to breathe. Aelin felt herself spiralling out of control, fire surrounding her as she drowned in the darkness-
Aelin woke up, sweat on the mattress and the duvet all scrunched up. The sun blinded her eyes as it hit her face. Was it real? Was it a nightmare? Maybe the gods sent her here to get her to calm down. She listened, though she didn't hear anything besides the soft hum of magic. She was alone in the house of wind. She crawled out of bed, groaning loudly. Her nightgown clung to her body, sweat sticking it to her skin. Aelin stepped towards the window, looking out at the city of Velaris. The Sidra reflected the light from the sun, making it glow. Sunrise or sunset, she could not tell. Aelin changed into a dress and walked into the long corridor. She needed to eat, her stomach was begging for food. What to eat? So much choice. Aelin felt so much, but yet nothing at all. She felt nothing without her mate. She thought she would have eternity with Rowan. Now, she was worlds away.
welp this is horrible writing im not continuing this ive tried but idk not sure what to write anymore i dont really feel like i would want to read this story and it feels like im just writing and writing and nothing is actually happening in the story i wont be continuing, so dont comment to continue thanks for 6.6k reads/views/whatever its called
