MONROE TOOK HER SEAT NEXT TO CHASE and gave Anthony a smile from across the room. He gave her a small smile in return and leant back in his chair, watching them get ready before the cameras began to roll.

When they got the signal from the team, Monroe beamed at the camera and waved. "Hi guys, I'm Monroe Davids," she paused for Chase's introduction, and then the two, in unison, introduced their game.

They had only answered a few questions when Monroe's phone began to ring. She quickly silenced it, apologizing profusely for the interruption. Then it rang again.

"Jesus Christ."

She pulled it out and scoffed at the sight of Mattia's name, her eyes widening when the producers urged her to answer it. "Hi, Mattia," she spoke, her voice was laced with anger but Mattia seemed to not notice.

"Hi Monroe."

Monroe looked over to Anthony who gave her a small frown and she gave him an apologetic look, knowing just how embarrassing this must have been for him. After all, his girlfriend was basically showing off her friendship with another boy just for it to be posted on social media within the next few days.

"Did you need anything?" Monroe tried to talk as politely ass possible, not wanting the impending audience to think that she was rude when they finally were able to watch the video.

"Nope! Just wanted to say hi to my bestie."

Inside, Monroe was on fire. She knew that Mattia wasn't stupid. She had told him exactly what he was doing and he was using that against her, embarrassing both herself and everyone else in the room besides the producers who seemed to live every single moment.

"Okay, well, Mattia, I'll talk to you later," her voice was a betrayal of how she felt. It sounds forced to her but she hoped that it came out sincere in the video. Mattia nodded on camera with a small grin, giving her a wink.

"Can't wait time see you in two weeks, Monroe. Bye!"

Her heart dropped at the sound of the tone that signaled he had hung up and she took a deep breathe before putting her phone back into her pocket. When she looked up, Anthony was gone from his seat and was exiting the room on his own phone.
