MONROE FELT HER PHONE VIBRATE FROM besides her in Maddy's room and jumped, pressing the green button immediately at the sight of Kairi's name. She beamed into the phone when she saw his face and pushed Bryce away from the screen. "Get out of my way," she snapped, leaping from the bed as Kairi's face scrunched up in confusion.
"Where are you?" He asked and she could sense the boredom in his voice. He was clearly not having a good time wherever he was at and she knew he wasn't at home, she'd been in his room a hundred times before.
"I'm at the house with everyone. We're all watching a movie in Chase's room," she answered quickly and he heard her yell, her phone falling to the floor. "Bryce— I'm gonna fucking kill you," she snarled from off the camera, picking the phone up as her face invaded the screen again.
"Where are you?" She shot the question back at him and Kairi flipped the camera to show three people sitting on the ground. "I'm with Alejandro, Robert and Mattia. They're playing fifa but i'm hungry," he said the last two words much louder than the others and she saw Mattia turn around to look at him. "Why'd you say my name last, Bitch?" He snapped, glaring when Monroe laughed from the phone.
"Who is that?"
In a flash, Mattia was up off the floor and he shoved Kairi from the camera, staring down at Monroe. "Oh. It's her."
"Fuck do you mean, 'oh, it's her?' You should feel honored to even speak a word to me," she scoffed in disbelief and Mattia cracked a grin. "Sorry, I didn't know you were worth talking to," his voice was deep and calm but Monroe didn't care for the sound. "Shut up, Bitch."
Mattia looked at Kairi with shock and gave her another glare, taking a seat besides his friend. "Watch your tone, Shawty."
Monroe only rolled her eyes and set the phone up on the floor so that she didn't have to hold it anymore. She glanced behind her as the door opened and smiled with Anthony walked in and took a seat behind her, pulling her in between his legs so that she was against his body.
"I'm talking to Kairi," she told him with a large smile and he nodded, kissing her forhead before he turned his attention to the movie on the screen. When she looked back at the phone, Mattia was gone.
They talked for a few more minutes, laughing about the stupid shit they usually laughed about before Kairi yawned and told her that it was late and that they had school tomorrow. "I'm going home and slumping, love you, Roe."
"Love you Kairi. Bye Mattia!"
She had no idea whether he was gonna answer but she it wouldn't have bothered her too much if he didn't, but when he popped his head back into the camera, she couldn't help but smile.
