Chapter 7 - Ryujin

Ryujin is walking around the courtyard, looking for a certain brunette. She is anxious, and haven't felt this way in a while. She couldn't help but to look behind her every few minutes, feeling like someone... or something is watching her. She quickly pushes her thoughts away, making a mental note to talk to her therapist about this paranoia. Ryujin sees Yeji taking deep breaths in and out a few meters ahead of her. Knowing that Yeji just finished a lecture, she couldn't help but tease her a little.

"I'm sure your lecture wasn't that bad," the pink haired girl said.

"RYUDDAENG!" Yeji smiles in surprise, but Ryujin notices how strained the smile is.

The brunette immediately hugs Ryujin, the latter carefully holding the girl in her arms. As she holds onto her best friend, Ryujin shivers. She feels like she's being watched again, so she hugs onto Yeji even tighter. Not wanting to worry Yeji, she quickly lets go.

"Haha it's not like he haven't see each other for years, Yeddong. We literally saw each other last night," Ryujin says in a light, playful manner,  it's her coping mechanism.

"Yeah, but I missed our meet up this morning. Sorry bout that," Yeji apologizes.

They both sit on the bench and start taking out their lunch. Ryujin couldn't shake off the feeling, darting her eyes everywhere around them to see if she catches anything suspicious. Other than the random girl she's never seen before sitting on the bench not for from them reading a newspaper, she doesn't notice anything else. Then again, that girl is reading the newspaper upside down. Weird. (Girl Ryujin saw is Soyeon btw).

"Hey, you ok? You seem nervous," Yeji questions.

'Oh, Yeji. There's so much you don't know, and so much I want to tell you. Please stay with me, I'm so scared,' Ryujin wishes she said.

"Ah, ya I'm good. Just something small bugging my mind though, but it's no big deal," the pink haired girl says instead.

"Well, I'm all ears."

Ryujin thinks. "It's just... these past few days..." She pauses, 'nah, it's probably nothing,' then continues talking, "I've just been tired, is all. Can't get enough sleep."

It looks like Yeji is going to say something, but then her phone rings. Ryujin releases a breath, kind of thankful for not having to explain her unhealthy life habits at the moment.

"I have to take this, be right back," Yeji says and Ryujin nods in reply.

As Yeji talks into her phone several meters away, Ryujin's heart starts pounding against her chest. Something is definitely wrong and she can't stop that feeling. Fearing the thought of Yeji being by herself, Ryujin immediately stands up when she sees Yeji approaching.

"Hey, everything alright?" Ryujin nervously asks.

"Err. Everything's ok. I just need to go somewhere real quickly. Sorry I keep canceling our meet ups today..."

"It's ok Yeddong. You should hurry, it looked like your call seemed important," Ryujin quickly replies, not wanting to be here any longer.

"It really shouldn't be, but your right. I'll call you later, kay?" Yeji says as she packs her bag.

"Of course," Ryujin says, although she wishes that Yeji would be able to stay with her.
