I was sitting with Nicki giving her a foot massage
"Your feet are getting bigger" I said
"It's because someone can't pull out" she said she's so petty
"Wow really Nic? You gon' blame innocent Meek?"
"You ain't innocent" she said
"Do you know how hard it is to jump out of a moving car?"
"There is a thing called a condom" she said
"A what? Girl I'm a married man and I'm loyal to my woman ain't no need for a condom" I said

My phone started ringing I looked at the caller and it was Charmaine I pressed ignore and continued massaging Nicki's toes
"Who was it?" She asked
"Charmaine" I said
"Why you ain't pick it up?"
"Ain't got anything to say to her"
"She's your sister and she's pregnant so at least hear her out"
"She should've thought about that before she dated a rapist"
"Meek now you know that's just you being petty" she said
"This shit haunts me at night knowing that my daughter was sexually assaulted and I wasn't there to protect her she's even ashamed to tell us what really happened I have failed as a father" I said
"Meek you haven't failed, you're a great father you shouldn't beat yourself up for what happened we all trusted Charmaine and I thought this might be a good way of her learning how to deal with kids" she said
"Nicki my baby girl is not okay" I said
"I know she'll always have this image in her mind but she's strong and you heard what the psychologist said"
I get that Nicki doesn't want to stress because of the baby but damn I can't handle seeing my princess crying

I walked into her hospital room I found her laying down watching TV when she saw me she smiled a bit
"Hey Meek I'm glad you finally came" she said
"I only came cause Nic convinced me" I said
"Well I'd like to apologise about what Nathan did to Adia if I knew he was gonna do that I wouldn't let him be around her, he volunteered cause he said this was a way of him getting ready for fatherhood" she said
"So is he still in prison?" I asked
"No he's out on bail" she said
"Ohh so he can rape more kids?"
"No"
"Did you bail him out?" I asked
She looked away
"I can't believe you Charmaine, what do you want to see him do? Rape your mother so you can realise that this guy is bad news?" I asked
