Chapter 12
They took any random flight they could find out of the country, not even aware of which country they were travelling to. Indecision. One of Sarah's greatest strengths.
She looked over at her sleeping sister. Xyriel looked peaceful for one so innocent to come through a lot. She wished her little sister didn't have to get dragged into this, but she had a hunch that Xyriel had a big role to play in this story.
Slowly, she took out the envelope.It had no metal in it, but it was surprisingly heavy. She weighed it in her hands, wondering what was inside. She was tempted to open it, but she wanted to do it away from curious eyes.
She looked around. Anyone of these seemigly harmless passengers could be spies, ready to attack her just as she sets foot in the country. How had her life come to this? In two days, she had become a rat, caged, trying to escape.

Sarah woke up to the feeling of butterflies in her stomach. It was the turbulence coming down. Her head hurt. She'd never been on any long distance flights before, only domestic in the Philippines.
"Ng dito na tayo ate." Xyriel said, excited.
Sarah smiled. "Yeah, ng dito na tayo baby." Sana nga lang walang mga taong gusto akong patayin dito.
Once they got off the plane, she went to a booth to change half the money she brought with her to Canadian dollars."Whew, taas ng palit dito." She murmured to herself. "Paano to?"
