Redemption: Chapter 11

~Trey P.O.V.~

All of us were called down to the trap by Uncle Varo which I found to be a little odd since he never calls anyone down.

Pulling up, I hopped out of the car and headed inside. I saw everyone else already there and a little girl hiding behind Elia... Why?

"So who's she?" I asked looking dead at her. She ain't look like anyone I know... So why she relevant?

"That's Big Red's daughter." Uncle Varo said. "We got the upper hand finally. Saw the opportunity and took it up for the offer. I'm done with these little games, it's too much." He continued to say.

"I vote just letting the trigger happy niggas going after him and call it a day." Uncle Arlie said. "I'm more than ready, Ginot always is, and Nitty would be too if his ass made himself present." So I see there's still no word on Yvonne and Nitty. That's fucking great.

"Big Red never had a daughter though. Just one child, the son. Even the son said he was an only child." August said. Where was Ty?

"Yeah, he only had a son. Never had a daughter." I chimed in. "She looks nothing like Big Red or his son and I'm guessing the son looked more like his Mom. I'm sure Big Red would have been on all our asses by now. It's been like an hour since y'all had her and he hasn't done anything?"

"Trey's got a point." Dad said with a heavy sigh. "Elia who is that?"

"All I know is, she's Rosealia's daughter. Never told me the father, she just said that was her daughter." Elia said with a sigh.

"Take her back home. Just say you went out for a walk with her if he questions. Big Red's bound to make a move soon, he hasn't attempted a murder in a few days. I'm sure he's anxious for a kill." Dad said clearly disappointed. "I don't know why y'all aren't understanding that we can't catch him. We just can't, he has to come to us and y'all are probably scaring him off with all this activity. Sit y'alls asses down but keep your guard up. Simple as that. You especially Varo, they're mainly after your ass." Dad said.

"Lexis, they're goin' after Sweets-"

"Varo, you won't find them if you go looking for them. They'll come around and that's when you murk 'em. Everyone stays away from the trap. Take the girl back and we all just stay ready. Simple as that." Dad looked specifically at me. "Am I clear?" We all nodded our heads and began to split ways. "And Elia, make sure the little girl doesn't say anything about this."

"How you feel about all that?" DeShawn asked as we walked up to my car.

"I don't know, honestly. I need Breezy out here with me." This waiting around for Big Red has me too antsy and restless. Something needs to happen, it's just all this talk and words you hear from niggas in the street and an occasional attempted murder. This lack of progress is really getting to me.

"Why?"

"Dad has his plans and I have my own but I need Breezy for my plans. I don't care what Dad says, I'm doing my own shit." DeShawn's face swept with shock. "I'm so close to snapping DeShawn, you don't even know."

"You're gonna do your own thing?" I nodded. "How?"

"I ain't tellin'. Just know I have my own plan and I know it'll be much better than just waiting around like sitting ducks." I'm done. I am done with this bullshit, it's gone for too long and I wanna walk down the streets knowing there ain't some nigga with a sniper aimed at my head.

"It's your funeral. I hope you like whatever coffin we choose for you." So funny. "I'm headin' home. Just sleep it off and hit me up tomorrow." Nodding my head, I hopped in my car. Pulling out of the trap and heading straight for home.
