That last part of the story was the conclusion, so here's essentially my Author's Note follow up! Just wanted to say thank you to those who have read this and enjoyed it, it really means a lot! I'm always open to constructive criticism, as long as it is in fact constructive! As I said, I haven't written anything in a while, it felt nice to get this idea out of my mind as I originally had this idea as a comic but regarding myself I know it would never see the light of day (I have made a fair share of Lacenet comics that are simply sketches, but nevertheless finished with dialogue) and well this story was not originally to be as long as it was. It was supposed to end after Hornet placed the Knight's mask down on the bench, but then I thought it would be nice to flesh it more out and have some more soft Lacenet moments,, even though this story was supposed to be about them specifically I couldn't help but dive into Hallownest's history to add background. All in all, it was quite enjoyable and refreshing to write this, I have plenty of other Hollow Knight story ideas but I don't know when they'll be put out or if I will at all.
In terms of writing, one of my favorite things is interpreting characters. I try my best to make them like as they are, but for characters like Lace who we know next to nothing about (aside from the fact that she's kinda flirtatious and boisterous hsgdhd) it was a bit more difficult getting into, when Silksong comes out we'll see how I did I suppose !

Edit 11/16/20: Hey so I noticed this story is still getting attention and I'm very grateful for it! I thought that I'd mention here I'm conceptualizing a new HK story except it's an original story; aka it'll be about some ocs of mine! Idk when I'll be posting chapters but keep an eye out if you're interested!
