I got my phone and opened it it was just a text and Mash got a call. I opened the message and it was a text from dad. What does he want now?!
From: Dad
Where are you? Come home ASAP. We need to talk.
I groaned when I read it. Hell, Is it about that fvckin business again?! =__=++
Sasabihin ko na sana na papunta na ako but I remembered that my car was damn broken.
“Hey, I’m leaving. May balak ka ba na magstay dito sa bahay ko?”
She got back after the call.
“My car is uhh kinda broken.”
She chuckled “Fine, I’ll give you a ride cute ka naman e.” she teased and I shot her a glare.
“Joke lang! Saan ba?” She asked but still has amusement in her eyes.
“No thanks I’ll be fine.” I refused but she insisted so i agreed in the end and told her my adress.
Medyo nagulat siya nung sinabi ko sa kanya. I didn’t mind it though I just shrugged it off. We just drove in silence in her expensive black sports car that has green designs until we reached our house.. I thought this teacher just has average status in life how come she can afford that? She’s really secretive. Tss.
“Thanks .” I simply thanked her and got out of the car. But she also got out. The hell? I looked at her with WTF?-look pero nagkibitbalikat lang siya.
“Dito din ako pupunta eh.” Sabi niya na nagtataka din.
Sa pagpasok namin ng bahay ay nagulat si Dad.
“Midori? David?” His face has a questioning look but then became like he realized something. He flashed his knowing smile to us and told us to enter his office.
“What is it this time, dad?” I ask annoyed.
His face got serious. “This is a serious matter David.” He said to me. “Have a seat you two.” Umupo kami.
Dad sighed before talking.
“David, Ang alam mong business natin ay hindi lang ‘yun ang business na pinapatakbo ko. I have one secret agency. Ang JDM Agency.
JDM Agency is where we take down criminals, Stop the cruel and illegal things here in the country. We have 20 agents that we send to work on missions. And Mash here, is Agent Midori. She is one of those 20 agents.
D or as they call him Boss D is our main target. He has a lot of illegal doings. Drug dealings are one of those.
D is planning to destroy the agency. They got a hint that you have a connection to the founder of this Agency which is me. That is why you’re life is at risk. “ I just sat there stunned. Sino ba naman kasi ang mag-aakala na may ganung Agency si dad? I mean, you wouldn’t think of him that way.
“Why am I here Boss Knight?” Mash finally spoke.
“Your mission is not only to take down the illegal operations in Crown University but to also keep an eye on my son, David.”
She didn’t even complain. She just simply nodded. Natapos na ang usapan namin at pinalabas na ako ni Dad. Nung papalabas na ako, Napansin kong nakatingin si Mash sa picture frame na nasa table ni Dad. Picture namin ni Dad 8 years ago.
JUN’s POV (Shin’s Dad)
Habang tinitingnan ko si Marianne na nakatingin sa picture frame sa table ko, alam ko na ang nasa isip niya.
“Bakit sabay kayo kanina na pumunta dito?” tinanong ko siya at nabaling ang tingin niya sa akin. “Nakita ko kasi siya sa tapat ng apartment ko. Sira daw yung sasakyan niya kaya yata naglalakad. Then I gave him a ride since pinatawag mo daw ako sabi ni Chief Eric. Dito pala siya nakatira.” Tumingin ulit siya sa picture frame and I saw her slight smile.
“Mapoprotektahan mo na din siya.” Sabi ko sa kanya. Tinignan niya ako at binigyan ng isang ngiti niya kapag determinado siya.
“Hindi mo man lang po pala sinabi sa’kin.” I know what she means by that.
