Half a decade I'm here in the North Pasture
Of sheep and of shepherds — admirable creatures
In this field I am new — devout amateur
In this place I grow imperfect and impureFor mistakes are a part of my identity
Sans these faults I would be under misery
Embracing my hubris is pure fantasy
I am never gregarious to negativityBaptized by fire like a metal so fine
Brandished and polished, Improvement be mine
Preparing for battle, could this be a sign
Of leaving the flock when stars do alignEstrellas catenate paving way for the morrow
Before me a shadow of promising meadow
But the cry of the lambs echoes with sorrow
From the pasture behind, proving my heart's not hollowStill, I follow the voice from the vista I behold
While the weight of my choice makes my blood run cold
For a moment there's darkness, I think I am lost
A guiding light soon flickers, then I have a pauseMy destination is reached sans any regret
The things from North Pasture, I will never forget
This land where I am now has tenets to get
