A powerless caterpillar emerged from the shell
So young, so weak, so vulnerable, and so pale
Struggling to become what nobody could ever tell
A triumphant story and not an epic fail
As she wanders around this world - full of strangers,
Of anguish, of clandestines, of threats, and of dangers -
The sun and the moon watch her with their embracing love
With their care and compassion - a gift from up above
The mighty hands of time will make her grow stronger
The Sunshine and the Moonlight make her bright and tougher
Autonomy and celibacy, hers to decide
What matters is she must not neglect Them as her guide
For seventeen years, she faced this world with confidence
Inside the chrysalis, beyond eyes' judgmental lens
A new butterfly is ready to spread her wings
For the world to see another beauty for the kings
