I dedicate my chapters/poems to anyone from the COMMENTS, especially if you are a fan or have my poems on your reading list =)

When I close my eyes I see it.

The small boy with his glass jar,

In the night that is as still as forever.

The millions of stars are a canopy,

And the pond is full of life.

The tree trunk that he stands against,

is illuminated blue.

The light comes from his glass jar,

And he holds it like a trophy.

And the innocence in his eyes is his identity.

The glow from the water is like sunlight,

But comes in small bursts like twinkling stars.

How can the sky be in the water too?

Maybe it got trapped, and lost its way home.

The owl perched on the tree branch is hooting.

Doesn't he know that the children are asleep?

Someone should warn the fish that it's night time because their eyes won't close it seems.

And the mouse that is hanging upside down has grown a pair of wings.

Hopefully it will know how to fly, or if he falls in the pond he should swim.

A familiar voice is calling, and the young boy turns around,

But before he leaves this beautiful place he hides the jar that glows.

Deep into the water it falls, the blue light fading away.

One day he will come back to it, but for now at the bottom it shall stay.

He runs and holds his mothers hand,

Who turns to him and says

"My child if you keep running off,

I'll lose you one of these days"

But his mind is always running,

And freedom is escape,

Which is how he found the glowing jar

And the secrets he hid away.
