I sleepily dragging myself downstairs, I had slept in very late. Quickly grabbing my bag I headed out to my car.

On my way to the Mikaelsons to meet Klaus.

The journey there wasn’t very interesting.

I slowly got out of my car and walked towards the door before knocking on it, praying that Kol wasn’t in.

Tough luck.

The door opened, and there stood the only person in the world who could make my heartbeat ten times faster.

He silently swallowed, looking at me intently.

I opened my mouth to say something, but he beat me to it.

“Klaus!” He shouted, not removing his eyes from mine.

I had to break eye contact, his gaze was so heavy.

I heard him sigh before walking away. Great.

“Ready?” I lifted my gaze from the floor to see Klaus smiling sympathetically at me.

I silently nodded and led the way back to my car.

Walking into the grill. I could never get used to the stares we got from the locals. Jeez.

I noticed matt wave a little making me smile warmly at him. After sitting down, Klaus was silent for a moment before speaking.

“What did you do to my brother?”

The question took me off guard. What did I do to him?

But I still couldn’t get the image of his shattered expression out of my head.

“W-what do you mean?” I stuttered.

Klaus simply raised an eyebrow.

“You know exactly what I mean, munchkin. I wasn’t the only one that noticed the way you two look at each other.”

“We had a misunderstanding.” Klaus stayed silent, making me continue. “And now he hates me.”

“He doesn’t hate you verity. He’s wounded.”

Nice way of making me feel better.

Klaus obviously noticed my discomfort, as he changed the subject.

“Where are your brothers? What are they up to today?”

“I’m not quite sure actually. Their keeping something from me.”

“What sort of something?”

“Something that could potentially kill me.” I shrugged.

But this made him tense.

“What?” he practically spat.

“Klaus” I spoke firmly. “Calm down”

He was about to reply when he stopped you look at someone on a table across the way.

I turned my head slightly to get a glimpse.

It was a man. He looked to be in his mid-20’s with a bald head and dark eyes.

He was currently glaring at us. Wut?

I turned sideways in my chair, so he could see that I was also looking back at him.

Fortunately Klaus’ own glare caused him to shy away.

“He’s not human.” I heard Klaus say, making me turn towards him.
