*** So this is the first edition to Shifter in a long long time. Ladies and gents I would like for you to let me know what y'all think. Honestly this is more of a romancey chapter and the main storyline will kick in again next chapter <3 ENJOY! ***

When I woke up the next morning there was a little wrapped box on my bedside table. I picked it up cautiously but noticed that there was a small card taped to the bottom that said it was from Palmer. I pulled the small lid off slowly so I could peek inside and there was a small pendant that had the same crest from the clan. In the bottom of the box there was a note that read; 'Wear this from now on, it will let any other mystic know that you are tied to a clan. It's a warning to the others to stay away. - Palmer'

I put the pendant on a silver chain that I had and put it around my neck. I couldn't get the clasp to work and I felt a pair of hands take it from me and clasp it. When I turned around Palmer stood there grinning like a fool.

"Having a little trouble are we?" he teased.

I pushed past him roughly and went to my closet to choose something to wear. As I sifted through clothes I heard him come to stand beside me. He reached in and pulled out a mini dress that I never wear.

"You have got to wear this for me some time." he held up the dress to me and closed his eyes. "I'm trying to imagine this on you and it's looking pretty good. Yeah, definitely wear this."

I pulled the dress from his hands and put it back into my closet, “Palmer you are too obnoxious for your own good.”

I heard him scoff as he sat down on the edge of my bed. “Tellie why do you have to be so difficult?” he sighed and fell back onto my bed with his arms behind his head.

Looking at him was like looking at a Greek God. He was so gorgeous.  UGH! Tellie snap out of it! I picked up a pillow from my bed and threw it at his head.

He reached up quicker than I could’ve thought possible and caught it before it made impact, “That’s no way to treat your loyal protector.” He said with a wink.

“Go Palmer I need to get dressed.” I said exasperatedly.

He backed away towards my window but before he left he stopped and said, “You’ll come around one of these days Tellie.” And he jumped from my window and out of sight.

When I was finished getting dressed I grabbed my purse and headed for the door. My stomach was in too many knots to try and eat. When I got to my car Palmer was already there casually leaning against the passenger side door.

“Where are we going today lover?” he said smoothly.

“Ugh, don’t call me that Palmer and it’s none of your business where I’m going because you aren’t invited.” I said shortly.

He held up his hand in surrender, “Hey, calm down. I was only teasing. Besides you know that I have to keep an eye on you so would you rather me stalk you from afar or tag along?”
