Chapter 45

-Ichigo p.o.v 4 hours later-

I delivered the package and was driving back tired as hell

The man was rude as heck, he called me a delinquent scolding me, when I just asked for his signature

I swear to god, and this guy looked like he didn't leave the house for weeks

I just pulled into the drive way making my way out of the truck when I got a call from Yourichi

Did I do something again?

I answered and sighed

"Yes mother-in-law?"

I said sarcastically and I heard a stern tone

"Get your ass home now, your wife is in labour!"

I heard and my eyes widened in shock as I started running down the street

"I'll be home in 10 minutes, is she ok?"

I asked and Yourichi started to yell

"SHES GOING THROUGH BIRTH DUMBASS"

she yelled that then hung up and i just kept running

Yeah, I knew that was a stupid question

After running down a couple of blocks in the cold weather I finally made it to our apartments where I ran through the building to our door

I quickly ran in since it was unlocked and heard a bunch of screaming while taking my stuff off quickly

"Just breathe and push, he's going to be here ok?"

I saw Chad sitting on the couch and I just ran by not saying a word to him

As I ran to the bedroom I saw Tatsuki holding Kate's hand as Yourichi had Kate's legs proped up on the bed

I went to Kate's side as she looked like she was in a lot of pain

"Look Kate, he's right here"

Tatsuki said and I held her hand, as she looked up at me with a exhausted look on her face, she is in a lot of pain

"Kate, I'm right here, just stay strong ok?"

I said and she breathed heavily smiling

"Ichi, I'm sorry you had to get off work-"

"It's fine, it's perfectly fine, as long as I'm right here, your ok"

I said and she smiled and then she threw her head back yelling

"I almost see the head Push some more Kate, you're doing great"

I heard Yourichi as I saw kate start to close her eyes and I squeezed her hand

"Kate, wake up, your almost there!"

I said as she smiled while opening her eyes

"I just feel exhausted that's all, but-"

She then screamed squeezing my hand as I felt the circulation was cut off from my hand already

"Almost there kate, 2 more big pushes, come on!"

I heard Yourichi say and kate squeezed both me and Tatsuki's hands

"Come on kate, your a tough little tiger, you can do this!"

Tatsuki said and kate gave a big push and Yourichi looked at her

"One more kate!"

She said and I then felt everything mute, as I saw kate give one more push and I saw all of the sweat on her face

Tatsuki's eyes widened as she went by Yourichi still holding on to Kate's hand

Then what I heard next as I was looking at kate was the most wonderful sound I could hear

"Waaa! Waaaa, waaa!"

I heard his cries and looked at Tatsuki helping Yourichi wrap the baby up as I saw Kate breathing heavily

"Ichigo, here's little Shuuhei"

She said as she handed him to me as he was cooing when I held him

"Be careful, there"

Yourichi said as I held him and I felt my heart just warm right up

I looked at him, then I looked at kate giving me a smile

"Can I hold him now daddy?"

She said weakly as I slowly put him in her arms and her face lite up as she smiled at him

"Hi Shuuhei, we've been expecting you, it's mommy"

She said and I saw tears in her face as I looked at them both

"Ichigo, he has a cute little nose"

She said giggling as I looked at him

"Well, he's got your hair, and, he's got your eyes"

I said and she looked at him smiling

"Looks like he's going to have your brains and personality Ichi"

She said and I sighed

"Oh geez, Rukia is going to kill this kid in the future"

I said and kate shook her head

"Nah, I won't let her touch him"

She said and I smiled while Yourichi came by

"Come on, let's have daddy give you a bath Shuuhei"

I heard Yourichi as I carefully took Shuuhei from kate with her permission and went to the bowl with warm water

___Kate p.o.v___

As I looked at Ichigo bathing Shuuhei I felt tears go down my eyes

"He's going to be a mamas boy, I bet ya"

I heard Tatsuki and I smiled

"Well, if I'm not wrong, Ichigo did say he was very attached to his mother when he was little, so, if Shuuhei is going to be just like Ichigo, then I don't mind, because I'm always going to be there for him"

I said and Tatsuki smiled and I sat there in bed closing my eyes

I love you Ichigo, as much as I love Shuuhei now.
