Klaus's POV

+++++++++++++++++++++++

I sped through the forest, Rebekah was somewhere behind me but I was not slowing down. Those men, who ever they worked for, didn't really matter to me at the moment, had kept my sister and I down for three days. I could worry about that later when I had my daughter back.

When I reached the biggest tree in the forest, the place where Rebekah, Maddy and I had played so many times I spun around, calling out her name but to no avail.

Silently I scanned the area for any trace of her. Nothing, and then I saw it, just a drop of blood, but it was her blood I could have told from a thousand miles away.

She was gone. My precious Madison was nowhere to be seen. I finally dropped to my knees in defeat. I felt something sliding down my cheeks, reaching up to my face, mg hand came away wet. Tears, I was crying. I haven't cried since, well I couldn't remember the last time I had cried. I was numbly aware of Rebekah finely catching up and comforting me. Gone. She was just gone.
