I think I should just
Try and be myself
And see who likes
The real me instead of
The me that I
Pretend to be on
A daily bases
I am just going to
Make sure that
I like myself for who I am
And not try as hard as
I have been or
Better yet not try at all
Just make sure that I
Love me for myself
And then maybe I
Will make more friends
And actually be honest
With them instead
Of telling them
Half the truth
Or what I think they want
To hear me say
I am done trying
For the sake of other
Now I am just
Trying for myself
