Not going to let
All those negative comments
Get to me this year
This year I will be proud
To be who I am
Not say or think anything
Bad about myself
This year I hope to change
My way of thinking all the time
This year I hope to get a step closer
To my life long goal
Which is to be a pediatrician
This year I will try to have
More real smiles and laughs
And less fake ones
While I try to hold in my tears
This year I will try less to make
Others happy and focus more
On making myself happy
For once in my life
Cause I can't always
Just think of everyone else
Once in a while I need to think
