i keep thinking we have an agreement
that we as reasonable adults can actually hear what the other's saying
you're an ace at bringing me up short and shattering my illusion
of course you will always do what you have always done this shouldn't
surprise me or anyone anymore or any less for that matter
i should know better in all its conjugations shoulda woulda woulda shoulda
which is why we no longer intimates you and me
