Johnny has left a little while ago. It was late at night, and Erin didn't like the fact that Johnny was out by himself. But, if she's being honest, she was kind of glad he was alone because she hasn't had any time alone with him since the day she first seen him.

It's was 2 o'clock in the morning, but Erin didn't care. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts about Johnny that she couldn't sleep. She wanted to see him so bad! So, after a while of thinking everything over, she finally got out of bed. Since Katlyn, Rachel, and Paige all sleep in Erin's room (because of the lack of space in the house), she had to carefully tip-toe over them.

Once Erin had grabbed a jacket and blanket, she quietly crept out the door. She walked down the street and to the lot. She found Johnny wrapped in a bunch of old newspapers just to keep warm.

She frowned. No one should live like that. No one should feel like a burden to their friends or family. And no ones parents should treat their child the way Johnny's do. Johnny's description played over in her head. If you can picture a little dark puppy that's been kicked too many times and is lost in a crowd of strangers, you'll have Johnny.

Erin walked over to him. She stared at his face. He looked peaceful while asleep. He looked younger. Cuter. She leaned over and kissed his forehead before gently shaking him awake. She didn't know why she did that. She felt that, if Johnny didn't feel the same, she might not ever get to do it again. "Johnny. Johnnycake. Wake up."

He stirred and groaned before opening his eyes. "Hey, Angel," He mumbled, his voice full of sleep. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. "What are you doing here? What time is it?"

"Last time I checked it was a bit after 2:00. And I came out here to..." She paused. Should I say it? That's the whole reason you came out here Erin! Just say it! She argued with herself for a moment before looking down and mumbling out, "To be with you."

Johnny didn't hear her. "What was the last part?"

She looked up at him and said, a little louder this time. "To be with you. I wanted to be with you."

Johnny was almost shocked by her comment. She wanted to be with me? Finally he smiled and laid back against the old car seat. He wrapped an arm around Erin and pulled her closer to him.

"Ya know, I've never really been out this late. The stars are so beautiful this time of night," Erin said.

"Yeah." Erin laid her head in his shoulder shoulder. "They are." Johnny noticed the blanket Erin had wrapped in her arms. "What is that for?" He gestured toward the blanket.

"I brought it out here in case we got cold."

"How long you plan on staying out here?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Until you go home. Until morning." She lifted her head and met his eyes. "Until you decide to leave. I came out here for you, remember?"

"Yeah, I know. I'm glad you came. I...I've been meaning to talk to you."

"You have?"

"Yeah. It's been hard to find a time to talk, though, because I wanted to be alone for this...and for the right time." He paused, looking away from her and up at the sky. He was nervous but he knew it was now or never. He looked back down into her eyes. "I wanted to tell you that...that...you h-have pretty eyes."

He stopped. He wanted to say more but he was just so nervous. It's like he had to force his mouth to say the words. The words he's been dying to say for so long. "But...but not only that...you...you..." He had no clue what to say now. No clue how to say it.

"Johnny," Erin finally spoke up. "Johnny if you don't want to-" He cut her off.

"No. No. Let me finish." He closed his eyes and sucked in a breath. Finally he opened his eyes and looked at her. He looked into those beautiful green eyes and he got so lost. "You...you are the girl that I like, Erin. You are so pretty, so beautiful. You are the nicest, most sweetest girl I've ever met, Angel. I've never met anyone like you. You are one of a kind and-" He stopped when he noticed Erin crying. "What's wrong? I'm sorry if I said something wrong."

"You didn't say nothing wrong." Tears of joy flowed down her cheeks. She had a huge smile on her face. "No one has ever said anything like that to me. That makes me feel...really special." Not only was this what she's been wanting to hear from a guy, but it came from the guy she wanted to hear it from. "I like you too Johnny Cade. I really do."

She rested her forehead against his. They both had huge smiles on their faces. Johnny's finger brushed her cheek.

Then, Johnny leaned in and kissed her. It was magical. It was both their first kiss, and they were both glad to share it with each other. Erin felt like her stomach would explode like fireworks. She's never felt this feeling before, but she knew she didn't want it to end. It was complete bliss. She reached up and grabbed Johnny's shirt, pulling him closer to her.

Finally they had to pull away. The kiss left them both gasping for air. They both couldn't help but smile widely. After that, they both laid and cuddled up in the blanket together for the rest of the night.
