"You good?" I heard Joeys voice say from behind.
I nodded my head yes.
"Why are you out here then?" He asked sitting next to me.
"Just thinking." I said.
I layed on his lap while he played with my hair.
"What was that whole thing about this morning?" He asked.
"I just had a nightmare." I said.
"About?" He asked.
I took a deep breath first.
"That Jonah tried to kill himself and that we were arguing because I got mad at you for not taking care of him." I said.
"Woah." He said.
"Mhm." I said.
"I love you, you know that." He said.
"I love you too." I said.
We sat there staring at the stars and fell asleep there.
Nights like those I treasure.
I woke up to the sound of beautiful birds chirping and Joeys hand around my waist.
"I told you to back off." Townes said.
"Sorry you think Joeys gonna leave you for me." I said holding his hand that was on my waist to make her jealous.
"Did we fall asleep out here?" Joey asked waking up.
"I believe so." I said getting up.
"Hi babe! You left me alone last night!" Townes said hugging him.
I rolled my eyes and got up.
"Hey Brooklyn I have a question!" Joey said.
"Shoot." I said.
"Where would you not have your birthday party at?" He asked.
"Anywhere but here." I said.
"Noted!" He said.
I walked inside and went to Ashton's room.
"I can't believe her." I said plopping on his bed where he was still asleep.
I decided to go to sleep with him.
"Brooklyn! Wake up Brooke!" I heard Ashton say shaking me.
I mumbled and flicked his arm away.
"Brooke come on!" He said.
"Ugh Fine you big jerk." I said getting up.
"What?!" I asked.
"Why are you in here?" He asked.
"Oohhh yaaa!" I said remembering.
"Oohhh yaaa What?" He said.
"I hate Townes." I said shrugging.
"What did she do now?" He asked rolling his eyes.
"Did you not see what she did last night? She knew that every food fight in this house starts with one person making fun of the other, and that's exactly what she did!" I said.
"Ya that was pretty mean. It's like she wanted to embarrass you in front of Jesse, and then have Jesse leave and then you and Joey become closer." Ashton said.
"Exactly! Last night me and Joey fell asleep on the swing and this morning she literally told me to back off!" I said.
"Please tell me you made her jealous!" He said.
"Yup!" I said proudly.
"Yes! What did you do!?" He playfully punched my arm.
"Let's just say Joeys hand was on my waist so I decided to hold his hand." I said.
"That's it?" He asked with a straight face.
"Is that not good enough?" I asked confused.
"No! You need to do something worse. I know! While your in the shower "accidentally" forget your bra and underwear in your room and ask Joey to bring it!" He said.
"That's not bad,but I have my own restroom idiot." I said.
"Say you got hair stuck in the drain." He said.
"Alright!" I said.
I went to my room and made sure I only grabbed my Shirt and shorts.
I was walking to the restroom and I heard Townes scoff. I could do the same.
I turned on the shower and got in.
About 5 minutes later I started yelling for Joey.
"Joey!!" I yelled.
No answer.
"Joey help!!!" I yelled again.
"WHAT WHAT IS IT?ARE YOU OKAY!?" He yelled walking in the restroom.
"Mhm." I said poking my head out of the shower curtain.
"Really Brooke! You scared the crap out of me!" He said holding his heart.
"Sorry, can you bring me my bra and underwear that's layed out on my bed, I forgot to grab it." I said.
"Fine." He said rolling his eyes.
He left to go get my clothes and left the door open.
I saw Townes standing out there furious.
I smiled and waved.
"Here you go." He said placing it on the counter.
"Thank you!" I said.
He walked out and locked the door.
About 5 minutes later the light turned out.
"Aahhhh!!!" I yelled.
I jumped out of the shower and put a towel on me.
I switched the light switch but it wouldn't turn on.
"You got to be kidding me." I whispered to myself.
I put on my flashlight and got dressed.
I walked downstairs where everyone was.
"Can someone please tell me what this whole no lights thing is about?" I said brushing my hair.
"Townes broke the thingamajiger." Grayson said.
"While I'm showering. What a coincidence." I said.
"Sorry, I didn't know how to work it." She said
"Don't worry about it." Joey said.

"You guys could totally come to my house!" Townes said.
"We'd love that!" Grayson said.
"Wouldn't we, Brooklyn?" Ashton said.
I nodded my head and smiled.
Can I kill her?
"Alright let's go!" I said.
"Ashton and Jonah are coming with me." I said.
We got in the car and I put her address in the GPS.
"I hate her. I hate her. I hate her." I said.
"I know." Ashton said.
"Wait- I thought you liked her." Jonah said.
"Oh long story short, When Joey isn't around she tells me to back off from him but when he's around she's an angel." I said.
"And Brooklyn's trying to piss her off by "flirting" with Joey." Ashton added.
"Is that what all the secrets are?" Jonah asked.
"Oh no. That's why we went over Melissa's house. All the whispering is about how Ashton won't stop bugging me about how me and Joey make a perfect couple." I said.
"Well you guys do." Jonah said.
Ashton high fived him and I rolled my eyes.
"Well now that you know Jonah you can't tell anyone about this. So when we talk about it you have to be very secretive." I said.
"Alright." He shrugged.
We pulled up to Townes apartment. It was huge.
"Ready?" I asked.
"The real question is are you ready?" Jonah asked emphasizing the "You".
"No comment." I said.
We got out and knocked on her door.
"I don't think they're here yet." I said.
We were gonna sit down in the hall until a blonde tall girl opened the door.
"May I help you?" She asked.
"Yes! You can!" Ashton said standing up.
"Townes invites us over." Jonah said standing up and pushing Ashton out of the way.
Of course they were drooling over her.
"Oh you guys can come in." She said.
We walked in and sat on the couch.
"So what are your names?" She asked.
"Ashton."
"Jonah."
"Brooklyn."
"Oh that's nice. My name is Riverlynn.." She said smiling.
"That's a beautiful name." Ashton said.
"You suck at flirting." I said.
"No wonders why he's single!" Jonah said.
We both laughed and High fived each other.
"Can you guys just shut up already." Ashton said.
Riverlynn just laughed.
"So how do you know Townes?" She asked sitting in a chair.
"Well Her And our roommate our dating and our power went out so she invited us over here." I said.
"Oh so you all live together too?" She asked.
"Mhm, it's us, Joey and Grayson." Ashton said.
"Only girl?" She asked me.
"It sucks sometimes." I said.
"Not for us though, she buys us everything." Jonah said and she just laughed.
"I don't know if you know but Townes doesn't really like you." Riverlynn said.
"Oh I know, she keeps on telling me to back off." I said.
"It's okay, she just gets jealous easily." Riverlynn said.
"You seem pretty chill." I said.
"So is it just you two that live in this big apartment?" Ashton asked.
"Oh no, the other girls are in they're rooms."
She said.
"GIRLS!!" She called for them to come down.
I saw 3 girls walk down and I couldn't believe who I saw.
"This is Charlotte, Elise, and Brielle." She said.
"You got to be kidding me." I said.
"Nope." Brielle said.
"Oop." Jonah said.
"Ya know Joeys life just gets worse and worse." Ashton chuckled.
"Do y'all know each other?" Riverlynn asked.
"She-" I got interrupted by the door opening and Townes, Joey, and Grayson walking in.
"Brielle!?" Grayson asked.
"You got to be kidding me." Brielle said.
Me and the boys bursted our laughing.
"Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny." Joey said.
"Brielle is a very good friend I haven't seen in a long time!" Joey said.
"It's been so long!" Brielle said going along with it.
I made a groupchat and texted this

"So what do you guys want to do?" Townes asked.
"We should play truth or dare!" Charlotte yelled.
"I'm down."
"Bet."
"Alright."
"Who's starting?" I asked.
"I'll start!" Brielle said.
What is she gonna start?
"Brooklyn truth or dare?" She asked.
Of course she would choose me.
"Truth." I said.
"Is it true that you ever had a crush on Joey?" She asked. I wasn't surprised.
"Yes it is." I said.
"Really?" Joey asked.
"When!?" Townes asked getting heated.
"In first grade the date we met. I dropped my cheese and he gave me his. It was really romantic for first grade. We sat and talked at lunch. Then I went home and obsessed over him. The next day we talked again and I realized he had big ears. So it was a big turn off." I said.
"Well that was rude." He mumbled.
"Wow. That's cute." Jonah shrugged.
"Next!" Riverlynn said.
"Riverlynn, truth or dare?" Grayson asked.
"Dare." She said.
"I dare you and Ashton to play seven minutes in heaven." He said.
They both got up and Grayson fist pumped Ash.
They came out and their cheeks were red so I'm guessing something happen.
We played a couple more rounds until we got hungry.
"Brooklyn would you go with Townes to get food?" Joey asked.
"Of course!" I said getting up.
"Hopefully I won't kill her." I whispered into Ashton's ear.
We walked out to the car in silence.
"Ain't nobody takin my baby." She said breaking the silence.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Your not taking my man." She started the car.
"Not trying to." I said putting on my seatbelt.

"So your getting out to get the food." She said.
"Alright." I shrugged.
I walked inside the pizza place.
I stood there in line and I felt arms around my waist.
I turned around to see Jesse.
"Jesse!" I said kissing him.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Getting food for the boys and Townes friends. You should come!" I said.
"Alright." He shrugged.
I got the pizza and me and Jesse headed back to the car where Townes was waiting.
"Oh hi Jesse, are you coming along?" She asked.
"Ya I hope you don't mind." He said.
"Not at all!" She said.
We got back to her apartment and Jesse knocked on the door.
"Jesse?" Joey said answering the door.
"Hey guys!" He said walking in.
"You didn't tell me he was coming." Joey whispered to me.
"I bumped into him." I shrugged and walked in.
We ate and talked and everything was surprisingly going good.
Riverlynn was actually really sweet, how could her and Townes be friends.
Charlotte was alright. She kinda seemed desperate for Grayson.
Brielle was actually nicer now that her and Joey broke up. She seemed like she moved on.
I layed on Jesse's lap while we watched a movie. I know we barely started dating but I felt comfortable around him.
When we went home all the boys had to go back in my car since Townes drove them over in her car.
At the end of the night I got all the girls numbers.

"I can't believe Brielle and Townes live together." Joey said as we walked to the car.
"Why?" Jesse asked.
"Joey and Brielle used to date." I said.
"That's gotta suck." Jesse said.
"Tell me about it." Joey groaned.
"Here's what I'm confused about. You guys dates for 2 years and you didn't know they were roommates." Ashton said.
"I never came over!" He said.
"That's weird." Grayson said.
"So my birthday party is in 1 week now." I said.
"Don't worry we have the decorations, location, cake, and our outfits, we just need to set up the day before." Joey said.
"Who's we?" I asked.
All the boys smiled.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yup." Jesse said.
"Wow! Thank you!" I said.
"Anything for you." He said.
"Can I at least help set up?" I asked.
"I guess." Joey said.
We dropped Jesse off and we went home.
