"Girlfriend, let me break it down for you again. You know I only say it cause I'm truly genuine. Don't be a hard rock when you really are a gem."
~The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

Naomi

"Yomi, your phone ringing." Jalen groggily said as he moved his arm from Naomi's waist. She mentally rolled her eyes, wondering who was calling so early. I bet money it's Ailani Woods. She thought as she slightly opened her eyes to grab her phone. She seen the picture of them together and swiped to answer.

"Good morning sunshine." Lani giggled through the phone. "Don't good morning sunshine me. Bitch, it's eight o'clock in the morning." She mumbled trying not to fall back asleep. "It is not eight o'clock it is ten and I'm waking you up for our brunch date at eleven thirty asshole. Get the fuck up and get ready, I'll pick you up." She fussed. "Alright. Alright. I'm getting up in like 5 minutes." She spoke and Jalen chuckled half sleep. They both knew she was not getting up in five minutes. "I bet you get up if I say mimosas on me." Lani spoke trying to convince her. "Say less." She replied hanging up and swinging her feet off the bed.

On Saturdays, Naomi and Ailani would normally do brunch and some shopping afterward. Naomi turned on the shower and stepped in, washing off all that her and her fiancé done last night. She took a moment to stare at her hand, and she'd never imagine there would be a ring on it so soon. Jalen never spoke too much about marriage, and she didn't press it either. However, they both felt it in their hearts.

Jalen knocked on the door, before walking in, breaking her mental conversation. "Should we invite our parents for dinner? How we gone tell them?" He asked as she heard the toilet seat go up. "Can we just go to their houses separately? I don't think I can deal with four reactions at once." Naomi answered truthfully. She knew she had at least a twenty five percent chance of a negative reaction out of their parents. "That's fine too. Your dad kinda knows cause I asked him for you hand a while back. " he admitted putting the seat down and flushing.

"Oh okay. So we can leave out around six?" She said stepping out the shower and grabbing a soft towel. "Six is good." He pecked her lips. "Wow. I remember you wouldn't let me kiss you With morning breath at first." He joked, grabbing his toothbrush. "Yeah yeah, I wake up to you every morning so I'm used to it now." She said grabbing hers.

Ailani

"Baby, get up." Lani whispered straddling Kofi and quickly hitting his chest over and over. Jayce was banging on her door in a crazed fit and she was scared.

He started kicking the door, and that's when Kofi's eyes shot open. "Lani, what the hell going on?" He asked gently sitting up. "Jayce is trying to kick my door down, I left out super early this morning to file the order and I was trying to make us some breakfast." She spoke quickly, her heart racing.

She slid off of Kofi and he got up, putting sweatpants on and walking out of the room. Lani followed closely behind to see what would happen. Jayce was at the door crying for forgiveness and cursing her out within the same moment. "He is fucking crazy." She sighed putting her hand on top of her head, wondering how she had not seen this in him before.

Kofi opened the door and Lani watched as Jay looked between the both of them. "You fucking him already? Why this nigga huh?" He yelled causing Lani to shake her head in embarrassment.

Kofi quickly grabbed him up by his shirt, causing his feet to dangle a little. This sparked a sense of humor in Lani and she quickly tried to cover her laugh.
