A Goodbye

And we're cursing time again

Wondering if we could reverse it to the beginning.

But the price for making memories is time.

So we are letting it flow

Letting it flow

And we're stitching ourselves into it's coat.

Remembering the happy times.

Reliving them in our minds.

Laughing out - no reason why.

Locking away our pains inside.

But you can hear my heart shatter.

Thousand pieces incapable of sticking together.

There's this mess and tears in my eyes.

I'm crying myself to sleep tonight.

Won't see you tomorrow,

won't see your smile.

The sorrow my eyes can no longer hide.

And here we are

Cursing this time again.

For slipping through our hands

For running away.

Though I know I should,

I don't know how...

How to let it go...

To let it go...

Because I can't seem to loosen my hold.

And I watch you walk away.

And I really want you to glance behind.

The only thing making me stay.

Is you, who doesn't slow your stride.

You're nervous, you're worried and you're scared.

It'd be a new world, with no familiar face.

Though I'm not the one one you'd call when you're afraid.

I want you to know I'm here.

And here I am cursing this time again.

For flying too fast.

For flying too fast.....

I wrote this for a friend of mine who had to leave the school because her dad got transferred. I miss her so much.
