Class the next day almost seemed to fly by; Present Mic’s class was simple and All Might was feeling under the weather and took the day off. As of right now, they should've been in his class, but they were let out early. Todoroki glanced around the room and saw everyone packing their bags to leave, then felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Yaoyorozu standing by his desk.

“Yaoyorozu? What is it?” He asked. She normally doesn’t approach me like this.

“Well, since we have some extra time today, I was wondering if you’d like to join me and a few others to grab a bite to eat in town before heading back to our dorms.” She jerked a thumb back at Midoriya, Uraraka, and Kyoka Jiro. “Midoriya asked Iida, but he was busy doing something for his brother.”

She looked quite cheerful, like she always did, and had a certain tone of confidence when she spoke. He didn’t like the idea of going as a group instead of just a one-on-one thing, but he had nothing else planned for the day, and hanging out with Yaoyorozu and her friends sounded a lot more enjoyable than dealing with his hot-head of a father. Todoroki stood and nodded. “Sounds good. Where are we headed, then?” She lead the way out of the room, and him and the others followed right behind her.

“Just a little place a few blocks from here,” she answered. Jiro took up her accustomed place at her side, slinging an arm around the girl’s shoulder, although she was much taller than her and almost couldn’t reach without it being too awkward of a pose.

“I see you’ve invited someone of your own, Yaomomo,” she sneered. Yaoyorozu shrugged her off.

“Yes. Do you have an issue with him coming?”

“No. Just didn’t think Icy Hot was into the whole friend thing,” Jiro replied.

Todoroki drew back, slightly offended. What’s that supposed to mean? Yaoyorozu elbowed her in the stomach, causing her to wince.

“Just because he’s a little quieter than the rest of the class doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the thought of having friends. Todoroki didn’t get out much in his youth. And for your information, I’d consider myself as his friend,” she shot back with the same amount to venom laced perfectly in her voice.

Yeah! Todoroki has friends,” Midoriya jumped in. Uraraka nodded her head vigorously, a wide grin on her face. Poor girl looked like her head would just fly off. Todoroki felt a smile forming on his own lips.

Jiro blinked at the group. “Whoa, I don’t need you all gangin’ up on me. I was just saying. He doesn’t really like hanging out with us. Or anyone, for that matter. At least, not that I know of.”

“She is correct,” Todoroki stated, gaining the group’s attention as they passed through Yuuei’s gates. “I usually just go back to my home or the dormitory.”

“But you do have friends, Todoroki,” Yaoyorozu said quickly. He tilted his head back and forth.

“I’d consider the class as allies and acquaintances, but I don’t really think I have very many close friends. Everyone I’ve met here are strangers to me."

The students fell into a sudden silence after the words were said. Yaoyorozu somehow felt hurt. Strangers? Did he truly feel that way? After everything they had been through together? Yaoyorozu fixed her gaze on her feet as they continued on.

“It’s just up there!” Uraraka suddenly squealed, taking the lead. It was a little diner, which from the outside looked fairly aged and worn down compared to the other shops around it, but on the inside, it was quite impressive and beautiful. As the group stepped inside and went into the queue, the awkward silence fell away.
