»I thought he wasn't on the suspect list anymore?« Skye asked as Lucas continued to read the document. One of the officers took all the knifes and placed them on the kitchen counter, spraying them with a liquid in a plastic bottle.

»Mr. Dashwood may not be one of our prime suspects, but he is still on the list.«

»And what exactly are you looking for?« Lucas asked when he finished reading the document.

»Detective!« One of the police officers yelled. »We found something.«

Wilde walked towards the kitchen, examining something that the police officer was holding. Skye and Lucas moved there too, looking at the knife he was holding in his hands. »It's positive for blood, sir.«

»Bag it.« Detective turned around, staring at Lucas, tightening his lips into a straight line. »Mr. Dashwood, you are under arrest for murder.«

»What?!« Skye screamed, grabbing Lucas's arm.

»What the hell are you talking about?« Lucas furrowed his eyebrows.

»Please turn around, I need to handcuff you.« Detective calmly replied.

»But he's innocent!« Skye yelled again.

»If so, he has nothing to fear. We have to conduct another interrogation.«

»Of course there is blood on my knives,« Lucas said. »I cut meat with those.«

»The lab will test it for human blood, until then,« Detective Wilde placed cold handcuffs on his wrists. »you are under my arrest.«

»But –« Skye grabbed Lucas by the arm, trying to pull him away.

»Miss, if you intervene, I'll have to arrest you too.«

»Skye, it's okay. I'm sure they're going to realize their mistake,« He threw a glare at the police officers. »and end up apologizing. Just wait here, don't panic. Call your mom or Kayla, Jimmy,« The detective escorted Lucas out of the apartment. »it's gonna be okay, I promise.«

Skye stood alone in the empty loft. She was sure of Lucas's innocence, dead sure, but something wouldn't leave her mind at peace. Something wasn't right. She nervously walked up and down the place, biting her nails as if she were a nicotine addict. The thought of leaving her beloved alone, bombarded with accusations and questions from all over the place was simply too much. Her mom was technically a lawyer, she could help. She will make her help.

She took her bag and stepped out the door, only to bump into someone's chest.

»Sorry.« Spoke a man's voice.

»Dorian!« Skye cried out and hugged the person who claimed to be the remaining Dashwood family. »Lucas got arrested, they said that he killed him, they just came in and took him, and a knife, and they said it had blood on it...but Lucas cuts meat with that, so it can't be...« An avalanche of words left her mouth as she was sobbing all over Lucas's long lost brother.

»It's okay,« Dorian tried to calm her down. »I know who the real killer is.«

»Who, what...« Skye got confused.

»I'll explain everything, but we have to hurry up now. Hurry up and save my brother.« He took her by the hand and ran on the street.

Skye was baffled with the fact that Dorian could find out who the murderer is in such short time. He was only gone for a few hours, there is no way that he could find any evidence...or could he? Even the taxi ride to the station was suspicious to her, Dorian didn't say a word. He didn't tell her who the killer is. Perhaps he would not reveal that information in front of the stranger driving the car, but that seemed unlikely.
