Your jet black hair and eyes of green,
Makes everything melt to a lucid dream,
A strange new world where all I can do,
Is think and write and dream of you.

You chat me up and ask how I'm doing,
I play it cool, pretend it's just nothing,
But I'm smiling inside as the world spins around,
In this place where your space is the one solid ground.

Now I am looking at you from a distance,
Blissfully wonder if I have a chance,
As I watch myself fall fast into your spell,
Headfirst and I cannot stop myself.

You ask me out, and laugh as I'm dancing,
On my seat in your car to the song that you're singing,
I watch in a trance as my fantasies fly,
To a sky flushed to pink by your angel smile.

And time starts to melt into dream after dream,
Turning desires to passion and passion to sin,
To scents of vanilla and sighs in the wind,
To nothing but white sheets and the warmth of your skin.

Now I am looking at you from a distance,
Slowly realizing that I stood no chance,
Of not ever falling into your spell,
Headfirst and I cannot stop myself.
