I will love you deep, forever and true,
As long as the grass is green and the sky is blue,
Deeper than the ocean, and deeper if needed be,
Longer than any river flowing to the sea,
Stronger than the roots of the strongest living tree,
As far as any horizon that any eye can see.
Wider than a valley, larger than a hill,
With more love than I could hope to make you feel,
Warmer than the sun shining on sandy beach,
Higher than any star that I can hope to reach,
Sweeter than the dew kissing flowers in the spring,
Lightly, like the play of summer wind,
Brighter than golden leaves in autumn light,
Purer than the whitest snow on a winter night,
Until the music leaves every song ever sung,
And the notes disappear from any tune ever hummed,
When age steals the youth and my hair turns white,
And I run out of words and can no longer write.
I will love you for as long as I live,
Until life ends, and there's no more love to give,
I will love you until the last of time,
And "I love you" will be my very last line.
You ask me how will I love you,
Believe me when I say this is true,
I will love you deep, forever and true,
Truer and deeper than you could love me too.
