She had black fur tipped with white,
Her cub was like a black ball
In the midnight den.
My Uncle said that
Foxes normally have six or seven cubs,
But she didn't.
The First Time I saw Her
She was jumping over the green,
Green grass of the Creek.
I still remember the Clear, High
Bark of The Midnight Fox.
