Ambulances angle through crowded city streets
Builders battle in construction sites
Children chatter in busy playgrounds
Dustbins doze in street corners
Elders eat and talk in their favourite spots
Fish are not in the market for you
Gunshots in the police station echo through the building
Honeymoon couples sit in the park
Illustrations in books shine in the sunlight
Jokers run wild in Crumbolo Circus
Kids go to school everyday
Lonely elders in the Elder's House
Money clatters into the cashiers
Nobody notices the homeless on the streets
Ovens bake our lovely pies
People crowding the subway stations
Quiet libraries scattered to all corners
Rents due to be paid
Sunshine on my face
Tea parties littering the small backyards
Uniformed policemen on patrol
Vigorous detectives on the case
Waves brushing the sunny coast
Yawning officers lounging in the office buildings
Zooming express trains on the tracks.
- This poem was done when I was pretty young. I have edited some parts but it's moreover the same. =D
