Mika's POV

Family means a lot of things to different people, it can be the people who gave birth and reared you, it can be your friends who've seen each and every side of you; it can also be the brothers you spend every single day striving for a common goal, or in Kiefer's case all of the above.

Kiefer's friends, family, and teammates residing under one roof is quite a sight to see.

Despite the loss a mere few hours ago, everyone's spirits are still up. Nothing can seem to faze these amazing people when they're together.

Being with Kiefer has really been a revelation.

A few hours ago

I took his hand as he leaned his head back.

"You're ok? Are you really in the mood for later?"

He opened his eyes as he looked at me.

"I'll be fine. There's always a next game, a chance to get better."

"That's the spirit. There's always a next game... Bawi na lang, hmmm?"

He raised my hands to his lips kissed it and said "Thanks for being there anyways."

"Ano ka ba... As long as I'm free, I'll always, always try to be there for you and support you."

"Let's go?"

He nodded as I pressed on the gas.

I had so much fun today. The whole crew was here, from Celina and the rest to my teammates. Apparently, Tita Denise took it upon herself to make sure na mawala ang BV namin mula sa pagkatalo kanina. Kaya grabe ang hinandang pakgain, pati karaoke, and the whole nine yards.

Before umuwi si Mika, nagrequest sila Tita na isang kanta muna daw, toll fee daw!

"Hinanap ko, wala yung kantang gusto ko eh sa list e..."

"Anong song ba babe?" I asked.

"Silvertoes."

"Hey, I know that. Alam ko chords nun, i-gitara ko na lang, tapos kanta ka, game..."

She glared playfully at me kasi akala niya lusot na siya...

"Sige na nga. Na-corner eh..."

I took my guitar and started playing. At first mahina pa, pero nung patapos na, game na game na rin naman siya...

Hahaha!

When we were done, we impishly took our bows, and then nag-goodbye na siya finally.

Hinatid ko siya sa labas and pinagbuksan ng gate. "Kaya mo umuwi ha?"

"Oo naman... Ano ka ba, not my first time to go home alone no... Sige na, see you on Tuesday?"

I gave her a thumbs up and waved back at her as she waved goodbye.
