Roman and Enzo had been happy to get out of their house and go on a road trip with Bonnie to hide the town bell.
Cade, the ruler of hell, had needed it for something unbeknownst to the couple but they weren't about to let Bonnie do it alone.
The Bennett witch was taking it to Elena's safe house and Roman was more then happy to tagalong.
"I bought it a few months ago, with money my dad left me. No one knows about it. We can stash the bell here."
Bonnie smiled stepping in as Roman and Enzo stood at the doorway.
"Brilliant. Uh, what made you buy a house in the middle of nowhere?"
Enzo rose an eyebrow, not knowing of Elena's whereabouts.
"It's to keep Elena safe, she's in the back room."
Roman chuckled teasingly as Enzo rolled his eyes playfully.
"Bonnie?"
Roman rose an eyebrow at the witch as she remembered she had to invite them in.
"Roman and Enzo St. John, I invite you in."
Bonnie grinned, as Roman and Enzo laughed.
Bonnie was just as excited for their wedding, which was in less than a day, as they were.
"Wait. There's something I've been imagining."
Enzo grinned throwing Roman over his shoulder and carrying him into the house.
Roman laughed brightly as Enzo set him down, leaning up to kiss the English man softly.
"I'm so happy for you two!"
Bonnie smiled crossing her arms.
Roman smiled at his best friend, thankful that she was close to Enzo and himself.
Roman finally felt as though he was getting his happy ending.

"So, Elena's here? She's the reason you bought this house."
Enzo made conversation as the three lounged in the house.
"I had her moved from the Brooklyn warehouse after you and Roman and Damon went missing for her safety."
Bonnie nodded as Roman shot her a grateful glance.
"So what are you two thinking for the wedding?"
Bonnie grinned at the way the couples faces lit up.
"It's not going to be big, just family and close friends."
Roman nodded looking to Enzo.
"It's not the ideal situation, but it's time we make it official."
Enzo grinned squeezing Roman's hand.
The two smiled however it quickly fell as the two felt themselves be pulled out of the house.
Roman gaped from the doorway as did Enzo, Bonnie rushing over to see what the problem was.
"What happened?"
Bonnie gaped in shock.
"I guess you don't own the house anymore."
Roman sighed leaning against the doorway as Enzo paced on the porch.
"I'm going to get something, I'll be right back."
Bonnie sighed jogging back to where Elena was being held.
"You all right in there?"
Enzo called to Bonnie.
"Yeah. I'm not exactly an expert at drawing blood though and I have to get the cure."
Bonnie sighed as Roman realized what she was doing.
"Nonsense. I'm sure you're brilliant at it."
Enzo chuckled kissing Roman's forehead and taking a step back from him.
"Yeah you got it Bon."
Roman leaned in the doorway staring back at the room where the Bennet witch was.
"How much blood should I take? Does the cure have a minimum dosage?"
Bonnie called to the vampires.
"I don't know what do you- Enzo."
Roman gaped seeing Enzo's face frozen in fear.
Blood pooled where his heart should be and he fell to the floor.
Stefan standing behind him with his heart in his hand.

Roman felt his heart stop.

"No, no. Baby no."
Stefan bumped shoulders with his twin as he walked into the house.

"Lorenzo!"
Roman screamed so loud he felt blood pool in his throat, his knees slamming on the ground beside the man's body as the taste of blood lingered in his mouth.
"I'm not losing you again!"
Roman screamed in pain hitting Enzo's chest weakly.
"Please! Please wake up!"
Roman cried like a child, on the verge of hyperventilating.
"Lorenzo!"
Roman screamed again, the noise painfully ripping from his lips.
"Baby no."
Roman cried pushing back Enzo's hair as he tried to ignore the man's desiccated skin.
"Please wake up! I can't do this without you."
Roman sobbed, his entire body shaking.
"What do I do?"
Roman choked on his tears as his breath began to go shallow.
"What am I supposed to do?"
Roman cried, falling back as he rested an arm on his knee and pulled at his curls.
"Roman,"
Bonnie's shaky voice came from behind him.
"He's dead Bonnie, he's dead."
The Salvatore sobbed as his voice cracked.
The Bennett witch slowly kneeled beside the boy wrapping him in a tight hug, despite the vampire trying to push her away.
"Lorenzo please!"
Roman cried impossibly harder as tears fell down Bonnie's cheeks as well.
"I lost him again."
Roman's voice made Bonnie wince as he slowly moved away from her, pulling Enzo's body into his lap.

Roman sat there for what felt like hours holding the man's body close as he sobbed.
And it felt like the tears, the heartbreak, and the grieving would be there forever.
