"Dylan?" Bigla kong sinabi.
"Yes! Haha. I thought you already forgot me."
"How can I?" Sabi ko ng mahina.
"You were trapped for how long?"
"30 minutes?" Sagot ko.
"Wow. Kate Angeles. How are you?" Sabi niya.
"Fine. Perfectly fine. And you?"
"Same old. Last night lang ako nakauwi. I was with my mom."
"Oh."
I was shocked. He was here. Alive and kicking. I was mesmerized. Since when did he looked like this? All I remembered was his messy hair and his.. his deep hazel eyes. You are right in front of me. Everything was fresh again.
"Katie." I almost forgot I was with him.
"Ah -- Alex. This is Dylan, uhm, my long lost friend."
"Sup?" He reached for Alex's hand.
"Dylan, meet Alex. My boyfriend."
"Your what?" He almost dropped his jaw.
"My boyfriend." And then I held Alex's hand.
"Oh. I see."
"Let's go?" Tanong ni Alex.
"If possible.. Uhm, can I get your number? or like a coffee or something?"
"We have to go, Dylan. It was nice seeing you again."
"I'll call you." Sabi niya.
"Bye, Dylan."
Umalis kami ni Alex at umupo muna sa foodcourt. Napansin niya sigurong tulala lang ako at tahimik.
"Sino yun?" Tanong niya.
"Si Dylan."
"Alam ko. Sino nga siya? Sino siya sayo?"
"Ah.. Kaibigan ko dati. Nung mga bata pa kami."
"Bakit parang apektadong apektado ka at gulat na gulat ka na nagkita kayo ulit?"
"Ah.. wala.. Wag na nating pagusapan."
"Ano nga?"
"Nothing. This is OUR date. This day should be about 'us'. " Sabi ko.
"Why? Is there such thing as 'you & him'?"
"Of course not. Let's just not talk about it today."
ALEX'S POV
Pagbukas palang ng elevator biglang may tumawag sakanya.
"Kate?" Sabi nung lalaki.
Hindi sumasagot si Kate, pero parang kilala niya to. Pinagmamasdan niya ung mukha na parang inaalala niya kung sino.. Sino nga ba to? Matangkad, maputi, at mukhang lumaki sa ibang bansa.
"Hi Kate, kamusta?" Sabi ulit nung lalaki.
"Dylan?" Biglang sabi ni Kate.
"Yes! Haha. I thought you already forgot me." Sabi nung lalaki.
"How can I?" Sabi ni Kate. 'how can I? How can you?' bakit? meron bang nangyari sainyo na hindi makakalimutan?
