This short story is to help promote awareness of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease or motor neurone disorder (MND).
By now you've probably watched many videos of your friends (including your favorite celebrities) pouring a bucket of ice water on their heads and challenging others to do the same. This activity is to promote awareness of the disease and to encourage donations for ALS research.
