Smile

Who knows the story "watashi kirei"? Nabasa ko yun dito sa wattpad and it really gave me creeps.

Kwento yun ng isang babae na taga-Japan. A very beautiful woman with a wide fan on her hand covering the lower part of her face. May asawa siya na sobra sa pagiging seloso. One day, the man slit her mouth. As in na hanggang tenga ang pagkaka-slit niya dahilan para ang laki-laki na ng bunganga ng babae. So when she died, she came back to earth and started asking every woman on her way "watashi kirei?" or "am I beautiful?"

Kapag sumagot ng "yes" yung babaeng tinanong niya, tatanggalin niya yung pamaypay sa mukha niya and the slit will be revealed. She'll be asking the girl again, "watashi kirei?" Kapag sumagot ng mahinahon yung babae, bibigyan daw siya nito ng mamahaling bato at lilisan na habang kapag tumakbo naman daw yung babaeng tinanong hysterically, the ghost will slit her face to as much as her husband did.

But there's also a story na kahit na OO pa daw ang isagot ng babaeng tinanong ay hihiwain pa rin daw ng babae yung mukha ng tinanong niya and will tell na "then we're both beautiful."

In addition to that, may nauso sa Malaysia or even sa Europe. Gang sila, known as "Smiley gang."

Ita-trap daw nila ang babae sa isang masikip na eskinita tapos tatanungin ng "rape or smile."

Of course, every girl would answer "smile" and give their sweetest smile to the gang. Not knowing the gang will slit her face from ear-to-ear.

In the UK, this mutilation is known as a "Glasgow smile", "Glasgow grin", "Anna grin", "Chelsea grin", or "Chelsea smile", as Glasgow (Scotland) and Chelsea (London) are the most affected areas.

They say na totoo daw na nangyari to... but... *shrugs shoulders*, we don't know. Wala pa namang napabalitang ganyan dito sa Pilipinas.

Try nating pumunta sa Japan, baka sakaling may magtanong ng "watashi kirei."
