Hakeems POV

After what happened last night, I couldn't get enough sleep to save my life. How am I supposed to rest, knowing that our family company is on the line? as I sit up in bed, I look over to my side, seeing Angel sleeping peacefully. I shake Angel gently to wake her.

Angel: *groans* hm?

Me: Time to get up bae

Angel: Do we got to?

Angel turns to me. I know she's still down from last night. I kiss her softly.

Me: Yes... You know how mom is if we don't come.

Angel kisses me back and sits up.

Angel: Fine... Last night was fvcked up and you know it

I wrap my arm over Angels shoulder.

Me: I know baby *kisses her cheek* and I agree.

I lay my head on Angels as there's a knock on the door as our daughter peeps her head in our room.

Bree: mommy, daddy are you guys ready?

I smile and hold Angels hand

Me: Yeah we're coming baby girl

Angel and I get dressed and head out with our daughter. We get to Lyon Manor and head inside, where we meet our parents, Andre, And Jamal.

Angels POV

We sit at the table and say grace and eat. As we eat, our father clears his throat.

Lucious: As you know last night was some sort of a success

Cookie: But don't worry your father will find a way to get Empire back

Me: Even if you don't have enough money?

My parents look at me.

Lucious: yes Angel

Jamal: So when it comes to the bid tomorrow at Empire

Andre: We're not going to put in anything?

Cookie: No we're not

I take a sip of my drink and sigh.

Me: No offense mom and dad but are y'all sure y'all wanna go through with this?

Hakeem: Ang is right... Empire is the family's company... Not Eddies

Lucious: Look your mother and I will come up with something... Alright?

I feel Hakeem grab my hand

Hakeem: The girls & I aren't going to be here, we're going out of town for a few days

Cookie: Ok y'all just be careful

~Later~

As I lay in bed, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if our family isn't running empire.My thoughts were broken by Hakeem laying beside me.

Hakeem: Still thinking about what happened at dinner?

I sigh and nod

Me: All we can do is pray and hope for the best

Hakeem holds my hand and kisses it gently.

Hakeem: That's all we can do for right now baby

I cuddle up to Hakeem as he holds and kisses my head.

Hakeem: Everything will be alright bae

Me: I hope so

Hakeem tilts my head up to make me look at him.

Hakeem: Hey I got you... *smiles* and everything will be just fine when we come back

Me: You sure bout that? Because "Uncle Eddie" was five minutes away from having my foot up his a**  last night

Hakeem laughs and kisses my head.

Hakeem: I know baby *kisses me*

Me: let's rest because tomorrow is a new day and we leaving

Hakeem: Damn right

I lay on Hakeems chest and kiss him.

Me: I love you Hakeem

Hakeem: I love you too Angel

We fall asleep hoping tomorrow would be good.
