*Author note- this story may be a little mature, be advise*

Perhaps it was a dream, she thought. Perhaps if she pinched herself, she would wake up. But she didn't want to wake up. She wanted to stay in this dream world where no one she loved had left her, where no one had died. It was her perfect world where her dad had never died. It was a world where her mom never started drinking or doing drugs. It was a world where her mom's boyfriend didn't come home drunk and beat her mom. It was a world where he didn't come into her room and touch her while her mom was in the next room ignoring her cries for help. She wants to feel safe and protected again. She wants a time where her mom and dad were together and everyone was happy. She wants to go back to a time that she wasn't depressed, a time she wasn't suicidal. A world where she didn't cut to feel something. All she wants is to feel again, to feel happy. She clings to the hope of happiness as she takes one last breath as she bleeds out.
