At first, we thought the black liquid was oil, that we'd struck it rich and that we'd be able to retire and live in leisure. We actually started writing down all the ways we'd spend the money. Our first choice was... to buy a giant mansion. It would be big enough for us all to live together!
It would have a game room with air hockey, pool, and ping pong. It would have every game console and game imaginable! It would have a flat screen tv with big comfy chairs around it. There would be a home theater in another room. It would have a huge screen taking up one wall and on another shelves of movies everywhere. Another wall would have a popcorn machine and a soda dispenser. It would have those really nice recliners with the cup holders. The kitchen would have all our favorite snacks. We would have a chef that would cook us anything we want and a butler that would do whatever we told him. Outside of the house we would have a pool and a hot tub. The pool would have a diving board and a water slide going into it.
The house would have everything we would ever want or need. Just as I began to jump into the pool, I heard a beeping sound and I woke up from my dream. That house would have been perfect.
This story is written in a twelve year old's perspective.
