I woke up liz was still asleep so I just laid there for a while thinking why life was the way it was then bianca walked in "good morning" I said
"hey" she said something was seriously wrong I could sense it
"whats wrong" I asked
"can I talk to you for a minute" she said
"sure" I said gently moving liz so I could get up and I followed bianca into the other room "now whats wrong" I said
"i-i-I was" she took a deep breath "I’m pregnant"
"how …. They didn’t" I growled she nodded her eyes filling with tears "its ok" I said hugging her she cried into my shoulder for several minutes she moved away "you ok" I asked she nodded
"thank you" she said
"that’s ok" I said "anytime you need me I’ll be here" she walked down to other end of the house and I went back into to the lounge room where liz was sitting and waiting for me "whats going on" she asked "bianca’s pregnant" I whispered in her ear she looked at me shocked
"how" she asked
"its form of torture" I said
"they didn’t" she said
"they did" I said
"is she ok" she asked
"yeah just a little upset" I said
"are ok" she asked "you look like you’ve seen something absolutely terrifying"
"its just a dream I had last night" I said
"what was it about" she asked so I told her about the nightmare I had last night
"well that’s a little unrealistic" she said
"why" I asked
"because you cant kill angels and demons by hanging them" she said
"oh yeah" I said "but Shelby and Jeremy being hanged was realistic"
"yeah" she said "but that wouldn’t happen no one uses that method anymore"
"ok" I said
"I don’t really like being cooped up inside all the time" she said changing the subject
"me neither but we have to lay low for a while" I said
"I know" she said
"at least your not cooped up inside alone" I said hugging her
"yeah I guess your right" she said hugging me back we sat there for a while as we waited for everyone else to get up , after everyone was up twilah made breakfast after breakfast bianca went back down to her room and hid there me and liz sat on the lounge talking every so often I would hurt myself accidently normally my broken rib sometimes if I moved my arm wrong . gale had to leave for a few days and I nearly felt totally isolated if liz and bianca hadn’t been there I might have done something stupid although it was mainly liz who stopped me from going insane bianca just hid in her room and only came out to eat.
"do you think bianca’s ok" liz asked
"I’m not sure I think she’s just getting over the shock of it all" I said the phone rang "I’ll be right back" I said going into the other room to pick up the phone
"hello" I said
"hey lucas" he said sounding like he was panicking
"whats wrong Jeremy" I said
"it’s Shelby she’s gone missing I rang her place and her parents don’t know where she’s gone" he said "it’s ok" I said "just calm down has she ever disappeared before"
"no but once a month she doesn’t go to school but she comes back the next day" he said "you should know that"
"does she have any strange ancestors" I asked
"why" he asked
"just making sure" I said
"not that I know of I know she went through a faze where she went looking for her ancestors it was after she.." he had a problem saying the last bit like he always did when we talked about it cause we were the only people told and we kept it secret there was never any proof it was her but she had admitted to us that she had done it the cops never even suspected her they classified it as an animal attack "I know" I said saving him from saying it then something hit me
"I have an idea" I said "I’ll call you later"
"ok bye" he said
"bye" I said hanging up
"hey liz" I said walking into the lounge room
"yeah" she said
"where’s that special computer you used for an ancestor check" I asked
"back home" she said "why"
"I wanna check out shelby’s ancestors" I said
"why" she asked
"because she’s gone missing" I said
"ok, I’ll go out and get it" she said
"ok" I said reluctantly
"I’ll be fine you however have to stay here" she said heading out the door shouldn’t take her to long I thought to myself I laid on the lounge bored when bianca came out "hello" I said
"hey" she said I sat up on the lounge and she sat down next to me
"are you ok" I said
"yeah" she said she went pale
"bianca are you ok" I asked she shook her head then ran to the other end of the house I followed her and found her with her head in the toilet bowl vomiting I knelt down next to her and held her hair back once she had finished she started crying I hugged her then I helped her up and we went into the lounge room and sat on the lounge
"are you gonna be ok" I said
"yeah" she said sounding more like bianca "I’m over it"
"well I think you are very brave" I said
"I’ve seriously missed your company" she said
"so did I" I said
"why I could be so nasty to you" she said
"that was only sometimes we used to always stick up for each other your way for sticking up for me was bashing the shit out of the kid that did it my way was doing it politically and trying not to hurt them but I would punch them if I had to" I said smiling at the memories
"yeah the amount of trouble we got into with the principle because everyone teased you so I would start several fights but after that they never teased you again" she said
"so they started teasing you so I would start several fights and the principal would say im so disappointed in you I expected this kind of behaviour from your sister and I’d get yelled at for trying to argue that you were being teased" I said bianca laughed at how I mocked our old principal
"and how that year seven kid tried to pick a fight with me and one of the older kids stopped him" she said laughing some more I started laughing to "ow" I said
"what happened" she asked
"my rib" I said but it was still hurting it was like a stabbing pain "can you grab some pain killers from the cupboard please" I said
"ok" she said rushing out to the kitchen and coming back with a glass of water and handed them to me "thanks" I said I started to fell drowsy and then It faded to black and right before I fully passed out I heard "sorry bryce oh shit sleeping pills" she said then I passed out
