CONSIDERING IT WAS STILL HER BIRTHDAY, Rory wondered if everyone would just hold off on any anger and relentless questions they were bound to have. Of course, her aunt and uncle's reactions to the positive pregnancy test were less than delighted, but they were more disappointed than mad at her. They were clear that they would still support her though in any decision she made. She had insisted they drop her to school and go to their respective jobs instead of further discussing the situation as a family, especially when she hadn't told Roman yet.

And now Roman knew she was pregnant and he was-well, not happy, considering he was just a seventeen year old boy-but he wanted her to have the baby at least. They had spent the rest of the day in the park, just talking and not thinking about any repercussions either of them would receive, especially Rory, for deciding to keep the baby. As Roman drove them to her house for the birthday dinner that she had invited her friends to, Rory wondered if telling everybody was a good idea.

She knew better than anyone else just how fragile the first trimester was.

But the thought of keeping her pregnancy a secret from only less than a handful of people, all but one being related to the baby in question, seemed pointless. She and Roman only ever interacted with Shelley, Letha, and Peter anyways, so it seemed appropriate to let them know. It wouldn't hurt to have some more people on her side.

It was however, telling their mothers, that was the main debacle running through her mind. Stella Reyes had always beyond supportive of Rory's decisions, but Rory wasn't sure her mother would be of this one. And Olivia Godfrey-she was just a cold hearted bitch, and there was no guessing that she would have the worst reaction to the news out of them all.

Roman parked behind Letha's car in the driveway of the manor. He looked at Rory who was chewing her bottom lip nervously. "We'll be eating in a few minutes, no need to devour your own lip."

The comment successfully turned her attention onto him and not the anxious thoughts running through her head. She tossed him a dirty look. "You're not as funny as you think you are."

"You're overthinking this," Roman shrugged. "Just mention it while you're passing the mash potatoes and be done with it."

She gaped at him. His lips curled into a satisfactory smirk. He was joking, of all things, now.

She groaned. "You are unbelievable." She shook her head. "I can't believe I'm really having a baby with you."

His hand caught hers. "Better get used to it, princess." He kissed the inside of her wrist gently, eyeing her lower abdomen pointedly. Roman pulled her into his lap with a devilish smirk.

Rory's eyes landed on something outside the car window, "Roman."

"Hm?" He trailed his lips up her neck.
