"Balthazar, where are we going?" You had been told to wear something nice, but not too nice. All in all, you were confused. You'd managed to find a loose fitting green blouse, one of the only dressier items of clothing you owned, and paired it with dark blue skinny jeans and your brand new black Converse. Balthazar looked you over and nodded in approval.
"Alright, let's go." He put his hand out and you took it.
Suddenly you were in a completely different place than before. "Couldn't we have just taken the car?" You asked. Balthazar laughed.
"Why take the car when you've got angel mojo?" He countered. "So, what do you think?" You looked around, taking in your surroundings. You were standing in a restaurant, booths along the walls and tables in the middle.
"This looks really nice." You said. He led you over to a booth and you sat down on opposite sides.
Balthazar handed you a menu and you looked it over. There were so many delicious choices! "How am I supposed to decide?" You said out loud, not meaning to. He looked at you with a smile.
"You should try their caesar salad. Best in town. Well, that or the BBQ burger." Just then, the waiter came to take our order.
"Good evening. My name's Anthony, and I will be your waiter today. May I take your order?"
"Hello. I'll have the caesar salad and a glass of red wine." Balthazar ordered.
"And you ma'am?"
"I'll have the BBQ burger and a root beer." You finally decided.
"Okay. I'll be back with your drinks shortly." Anthony walked away.
"So you can tell this isn't a 'just because' occasion. I can see it in your eyes." Balthazar said. You nodded your head. "I did this because I wanted to ask you something." Several things ran through your mind, and they all made you giddy with excitement. Luckily, you knew how to hide it.
"Ask away." You told him calmly.
"Will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Balthazar asked you, and you sat frozen in shock for a moment before answering.
"Of course I will."
