WeiZhou held Cai in his arms as they watched cameras flash around Jingyu, who was wearing a rainbow suit, designed specially for him by famed gay singer Elton John. They were both surprised when Jingyu received the call. WeiZhou had to interpret it for him, since he  didn't know English, but it turned out the singer wanted to sponsor them. He had been keeping track of what the couple were doing in China, and he wanted to support them more. WeiZhou was more excited than Jingyu, since he had listen to many of Elton's songs, and one had even been a part of the Addicted soundtrack!
Jingyu, as always, looked dashingly handsome in every pose. WeiZhou smiled at him sweetly when they met eyes, Jingyu laughing at him and Cai for whatever reason. They were a picture perfect family.
WeiZhou and Jingyu were back to being a public couple. Fans from all over the world were going crazy, but not as crazy as the politics in their own country. Meetings were being held, opinions were being changed. Pride parades were being held almost as much as hate protests. WeiZhou and Jingyu could be showered with love one day, then battered with hate the next.
But they would back down. It didn't matter how hard the day, how giant the hate. They would always curl up in bed together, share a goodnight kiss, and reset their tempers for the next day.

Jingyu was making dinner as Cai played with his toys, both waiting for WeiZhou to come home. Jingyu looked up from his cooking once and a while to smile at Cai, watching him play around.
The door to the apartment opened and Jingyu raced to see WeiZhou. He had something special planned for tonight, and couldn't wait for his fiancée to see it.
Instead of the glowing smile, he was looking for, he was met with a huge frown, tears streaming down his lover's face, along with a huge gash on his forehead.
"Baby..." Jingyu moved closer, taking Zhou into his arms. He didn't want to ask what happened, too afraid he already knew. Too afraid his ZhouZhou had been taken advantage of in the streets. Jingyu forced himself to breathe evenly.
"Jingyu. Don't worry. I know what you're thinking." Jingyu pulled away from the embrace to look him in the eyes, searching for his lover. "I didn't let it get that far. But he tried. He said this is what I deserve for being gay."
They didn't even have to say it for both of them to know what had happened. Jingyu pulled him closer, hugging him again. "Fuck. I want to kill the man." Jingyu was clearly seething with anger, pulling away to run his thumb over WeiZhou's jawline.
It wasn't WeiZhou's fault. More like it was his for not protecting him. Luckily, it didn't get further than WeiZhou's face being shoved into the brick wall, but it could've. It could've. And they never thought it would happen to one of them until it did.
It could've.
It could've.
It could've.

A/N: damn I'm so sorry that this is so short you guys. I started on a dark topic and wanted to end it before it got too far. I also wanted to bring a attention to this worldwide issue on sexual assault. It's a huge issue especially since the victim is blamed so much more than the person who actually committed the crime. It also happens a lot to gay men, which is why I put it in here.
