What Lies Beneath
Slowly slipping from the threads of sanity
into a pool of caotic confusion
Waves of whispering defeat
pull me down into a hated dissolution
Tangled in a web of torn moral fibers
I struggle for self-control
Fighting back the anguishing fears
that are molded deep within my soul
Hidden faults once burried
with a false smile on display
Are now painted on the surface
In a shameful disarray
Swells of sorrow overpower my emotions
Pushing me deep into depression
Apathetic tides wash away the truth
Keeping what lies beneath in suppression
