Voice of Reason
These emotions drench me
falling down like rain
With nothing left to shield me
I'm drowning in this pain
My life is always darkened
like a forever blackened sky
Emotions clouding my vision
forcing me to live a lie
I look to my heart
my blood pumping cold
The beats have now ceased
leaving the answers untold
With nowhere left to go
I bury myself deep inside
Misery weighing heavey
forcing happiness to be denied
Just when I begin to give up
and all hope seems to vanish
A voice unheard speaks
commanding unhappiness to banish
The more the voice speaks
the more I give way to reason
coercing with kind words
negative thoughts commit treason
I finally see blue
in a once blackened sky
No longer am I drenched
for misery is now dry
My heart is now beating
its passion warm and red
Love that was once cold
is now the connecting thread
