chapter 1

Julie's POV

" wake up, wake uuuup!" tris screamed as I WAS trying to sleep but nooooo

" whaaaaaaaat"

" c 'mon get dressed its the vamps' celebration for our big hit c'moooon" tris said looking agitated at me

"ok im going im going" I got up and went upstairs literally dragging myself

sorry I didnt introduce myself im julie and THAT was my older brother tris short for tristan

today is his bands' celebration for their big ass hit on their new single

I was kind of nervous because OBVIOUSLY their guitarist, James, was going to be there and I had a GIGANTIC crush on him ever since I met him although james only sees me as a little sister... probably

I told tris about the crush and instead of helping me get over it he made it get stronger by PURPOSELY inviting him over and tris does this because he thinks my 'crush' can actually be my boyfriend which I highly doubt.

"im ready!!!" I shouted as I was putting on my little flower crown scince this celebration is on the beach

I was wearing a blue high low dress with minimal make up foundation mascara lipstick

" alright lets go th-" tris was cut off when he looked at me and gave me a playful smile

"out to catch yourself your little 'crush' ey?"

"shut up" I slightly nudged him on the arm

julie's pov

as we entered the room where the celebration was being held a whole lot of guys came up to tris and greeted him which led to me by myself I greeted some girls and sat at the bar and I ordered a lemonade

I dont think the beach would be a nice place to get drunk

"hi julie" oh shit. I know that voice. its james. play cool just be cool.

I turned around " hi james" I said as he reached in to give me a hug

" have you seen tris around?" he said while his perfect blue green eyes looked straight at me

"um yeah hes over there with brad."

"ok thanks jules ill see ya later alright?"

"yeah sure" and gave him a freindly smile

james' pov

god she is so beautiful

I know ive known julie a while but c'mon no one can get over her I mean look at her beautiful hazel blonde hair dark brown eyes beautiful smile

no stop james stop shes your bestfriends sister this is NOT going to happen

julie's pov

it was getting a bit too much at the party so I decided to go outside and have a nice walk on the beach

alone time I really need this. the sound of the loud music faded a bit while I got further from it I was feeling quite relaxed and heared some of the bands' music start to play so I quietly sang along which was a bit inaudible because of the waves of the beach crashing on my bare feet its been about half an hour and I was still outside I thought I wouldnt go back inside because I didnt like the atmosphere in there I was about to stand up and keep walking along the beach until I heard a voice shouting my name.james.

"hey why arent you inside" he asked me while sitting down next to me

"I dont think the beach Is a place to get drunk but a place for peace and quiet which I can barely get enough of" I laughed and said that I sounded wierd

" no your right but the boys wanted the beach so we can get some beach houses for tonight" and pointed to the beach houses

" no its alright I needed some fresh air anyway" I laughed

" well if your gonna stay here wanna keep walking down?" offering me his hand so I can stand up

james' pov

I offered her a hand and we started walking hand in hand but tris came shouting julie's name and smiling when he saw our hands together

why was he smiling? did she have feelings for me that he knew about?

"hey tris" she said while lifting our hands a bit so that he can see

" hey guys having fun out here?" he winked at her

"yeah I dont want to stay inside" she said

I was smiling ear to ear when he smiled when he saw our hands together I guess he was ok with the fact I might like her

"yeah so im accompanying her" I smiled

" alright Im gonna head back inside and leave you two lovebirds alone, have fun but not too much" he smiled at her and went back inside

finally its just me and julie again
