Chapter Nine.

It had been a few days since Ben accepted me, and unfortunately for me that meant he had to go back to his Alpha duties. I had called my pack of rogues a day ago and they had decided to come and live up here. They were packing up and heading up in a week, they would be right in time for my Luna ceremony. I was at the house, getting ready to go to the training center. I wanted to show these wolves that I was a force to be reckoned with.

There was a knock on the door and I went to answer it, picking up my water bottle and keys so I could just head out. I opened the door to a very pretty woman, she had light grey eyes and dark brown hair. She looked at me confused at first and then sniffed the air. Her stare turned to malice and she looked like she was ready to pounce.

“What are you doing here vampire?” she growled at me. What the hell was her problem, most of the pack liked me or at least was forced to like me.

“I’m defined by more than just being a vampire and I’m here because my mate lives here” I responded back in a bitchy tone. She was making me late for training and I wanted the other wolves to respect me.

“Your mate? My boyfriend lives here, so you are obviously mistaken leech” she said angrily. I wanted to kill her, first of all her boyfriend was my mate and second of all I wasn’t a fucken leech. I only drank animal blood now a days.

“Yes, my mate. If you are so concerned why don’t you ask Ben yourself” I said pushing past her and closing the door. I locked it and headed towards the training center.

“It’s because of you that he left!” she screeched behind me, I turned and gave her a look. The look that said: You are a pathetic bitch.

“He was obviously going to have a mate, what did you expect? That I would never be found?” I replied back calmly.

“He loved me before you came along; you’re just a pathetic vampire who thinks she’s better. But you’re not! You never will be!” she shouted at me. My blood started to boil and I raised an eyebrow at her.

“You better shut the fuck up and call Ben before I wrap my hands around your throat” I said, with a deathly calm. She flinched but I could tell she was opening her mind link. She must not have liked the answer because her nose went up in a sneer and she gave me a death look. She launched herself at me, making me topple over. The wolves nearby stopped and stared at us. I rolled her off me and then straddled her waist, I threw a punch that landed her nose. She bucked me off and stood up, she held her nose in her hand noticing that it was broken.

She turned to me and landed a kick to my side. I stumbled but stood my ground, she came at me again and I caught her leg and swiped her feet from under her. I jumped on top of her and began to land punch after punch after punch. All of sudden arms were around me pulling me off of her. I froze and panicked.

Breathe, breathe” my wolf whispered to me. But I couldn’t, I could only think of my father pulling me off of my mother.

“Why doesn’t Christian want to see me anymore?” I asked as my mom came to look and examine me.

“Because we don’t want our son around such filth” she said harshly and grabbed my arm, she examined my skin and then shook her head.

“Please, why doesn’t he want to see me anymore? Tell him I need to see him, that I miss him” I pleaded. I was still hanging on the hope that their humanity would eventually come back, but lately that hasn’t been seen as promising.

“We told him that you willing changed, that you fucked a vampire and that you loved every second of it. He doesn’t want to see you anymore because you’re evil and he knows his real sister is dead” she said harshly. At first I couldn’t comprehend what my motherwho used to wake me up early so I got first dibs on chocolate chip pancakesjust said. But then it sunk it and I was filled with a rage I had never felt before. It ate at my insides giving me strength I hadn’t had before.
