Chapter Seven.

“When I was nineteen I was a werewolf apart of the Misertus Pack. One day I went walking in the woods to go meet my boyfriend, when a group of vampires attacked me. They were with my sire―Clayton―he wanted me so he could change me into a vampire, become his mate, overthrow the vampire rulers, and then rule” I paused looking at Ben, scared that he would looked panicked, but he looked at me calmly. Tracing circles on my hand, as if he knew it calmed me down. “Clayton turned me and when I survived he found that he couldn’t sire me, something about the wolf part of me. When he turned me he completely killed my wolf, or so I thought, I can’t shift anymore and I don’t smell like one obviously. He tried to forcibly mate me but I stopped him before he could many times and then he would go into this rage and try to kill me but stop himself right before he would. One day it was really bad and this guy volunteered to help me, I accepted his help and a few weeks later we both escaped. I never saw him again.” I paused and knew the worst was coming.

“I went home immediately, see I have a twin brother who I love with all my heart and when I was gone I could only think about him. As soon as Christian saw me he was confused but accepting, but when my parents found me my dad attacked me and choked me until I passed out. Christian tried to help but my mom held him back. When I woke up my parents said they needed to experiment on me because I was the first werewolf in history to actually mix with a vampire. They told me that their daughter was dead and that it was for the good of science” I stopped and pulled my hands away. “Don’t be angry okay, don’t go all wolf on me. Please.” I showed him my mangled burned wrist; he took them in his hands and looked at them.

“What did they do to you?!” he shouted in rage. His eyes were turning black and I knew he was trying to fight it. Breathing heavily he closed his eyes and breathed in out and for what felt like hours but was probably just a minute or two. When he opened his eyes again they were back to their spectacular emerald color. Looking at me he leaned down to kiss both my wrist and hold them to his chest. I moved to sit on his lap and snuggled closer to him.

“My parents did this with silver chains to hold me down during experiments, I have them on my ankles too. I’m okay now though. Thanks for controlling your wolf back there” I whispered. Ben kissed my forehead, holding onto me.

“Anything for you, I didn’t want to scare you. I take it there is more to this story” he whispered. I nodded my head but stayed where I was. He was beyond comfy.

“They experimented a lot. Found out my pain levels, how fast I healed, how long it took broken bones to heal. At night my brother would bring me food and visit and talk with me. It went on for months, and one day my brother stopped coming and I remember feeling so hopeless. After a month of not seeing my brother, my parents brought him down one day. They told him this was my last experiment that I wouldn’t live past this. They were going to cut me open and inspect my organs and brain and stuff. I remember getting so angry that when they went to chain me I fought back and killed them. I ripped their bodies to shreds; I had never felt like such a monster in that moment. My brother looked at me in horror and then attacked me, trying to kill me. So I fled as far as possible and as fast as possible.” I paused and sighed, here came some more bad parts.

“I turned off my emotions for two years and killed and slept around a lot. I didn’t think I had a mate and at the time I couldn’t care. I turned it back on when I came across my pack of rogues who took me in and sheltered me. That’s when I found out that Christian had been hunting for me. He’s found me a few times and he fights me and almost kills me and then I run. He’s my twin brother and I can’t even think of killing him, but he’s lost his mind. I lived with my rogues for about three years and then I heard that Christian was coming to kill me and them, so I fled to keep them safe and then I crossed your territory and met you.”
