We arrived to a huge building, not too far from the beach like he had mentioned before.
We parked the car and got into the lobby, heading right away for the elevator.
I couldn't help but to look at everything around me, trying my best to avoid that he noticed.
I was sure living there was super expensive.
An awkward silence took over as we got closer to his floor, which seemed to be one of the last ones at the very top
The doors opened and we walked just a bit before stopping in front of an apartment.
"Here we are..
also, please try to ignore the mess.. I wasn't really planning on this"
Then why did you suggest it, silly? - I couldn't help to think
He unlocked the door and the lights were off.. which made the sight even more impressive
"Woah"
"You like it? Go ahead, open the door" he pointed to the glass door separating the living room from the balcony. I didn't think it twice and walked slowly to it, doing as he said and leaning on the metal rainling.
It was just.. beautiful
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" he said, standing right next to me
"Yes, it is" I replied without even looking at him, when I felt the cold air hit me and made me shiver
"Let's go inside, though. It's cold" he gently grabbed my hand and I felt my heart tighten
We got back inside and he closed the door. I looked at my phone and realized it wad about to die
"Uhm.. Tae, can I use your charger?"
"Sure" I handled him my phone so he could take care of it
"You can seat wherever you like. Want something to drink? I can make some coffee"
"Coffee would be great" I said feeling a bit shy as I sat on the sofa
I looked around, trying to ignore the fact that.. I was nervous and had no idea what to do or say.
"Jimin" he said, something told me it wasn't the first time he called my name
"Ah, sorry.."
"Here.." he was offering me his phone "You can use mine if you wanna call somebody.. you know, to let them know you're okay.. or if you wanna watch some videos"
"Thank you" for some reason I felt a little more relaxed now
He walked back to the kitchen and I just checked youtube.
After a couple minutes he can back with two mugs
"Here you go.. sorry if it isn't good"
"I'm sure it will taste great" I saw him smile at my words.. he looks so cute when he does
"What are you watching?" he asked me
"Oh, this is one of my favorite videos.. it's called Entropy. Wanna see it?"
"Yeah, show me!" he happily jumped into the couch and sat right next to me.
He watched the short animation without losing track of it even for a second
"wow.. I loved it"
"Are you serious?" I had never been able to show it to anyone before "I know everyone says it's about music.. but to me it means something completely different"
"What do you think it means?" he stared at me with the sweetest eyes
"I think it is.. about how it doesn't matter how bad your reality is. As long as you're able to stand up and keep on dreaming.. you will be able to change that reality, little by little. You'll keep bringing pieces of what you want the most into your life, and when you least realize it.. you'll find yourself being happy"
Taehyung's eyes were as wide as could be
"Ah, i'm sorry. Did it sound too weird?" I lowered my head feeling embarrassed
"Hey" he gently lifted my chin "that was the most beautiful thing i've ever heard"
I felt my cheeks become hot as I watched every detail of his face being only inches away from mine. But the pressure I felt when his eyes locked with mine was too much, and I ended up looking away
"Anyway" he stood up and grabbed the remote
"wanna watch a movie?"
I shook my head mentally
Wake up, Jimin. He wasn't trying to do anything weird, you were just having a conversation - I told myself
Taehyung's POV
"Ah, i'm sorry. Did it sound too weird?" he asked and lowered his head
Why does he always look so careful about what he says..
"Hey" I slowly lifted his chin "that was the most beautiful thing i've ever heard"
He didn't say anything back, and I was just trying to be nice but, seeing him up close..
he looks so pretty
Why hadn't I noticed before?
My eyes admired every detail on his face as if it was the very first time I looked at him, until my eyes met his..
And then I just stopped thinking
Taehyung, what are you doing? - I finally reacted after what felt like an eternity
"Anyway" I stood up and grabbed the remote
"wanna watch a movie?"
....
I had grabbed a blanket and decided to watch a horror movie.
It was late, and it was cold, so we ended up seating real close as we covered ourselves with the blanket
And to be honest, I don't even know how it happened, but next thing I knew.. I opened my eyes to realize we had fallen asleep, cuddling with each other
I caressed his hair, moving it away from his face
"You don't deserve to be hurt, Jimin. Any jerk that wants to try will have to go through me first.."
